Your 2008 Summer Song!
So what's your "summer song" this year - 2008? I always have a summer song that reminds me of the summmer. This year its Kid Rock "All Summer Long" I love it. It's Leonard Skynard with a mix from Kid Rock which surprises me, he did a great job on this song. It reminds me that I should have a good time while I can.... my son is with my mom in Ireland, and I'm free for the summer, I do miss him, but I love my freedom....What's your favorite summer song?

im always a sucker for 'the girl from ipanema.' this summer ive been digging a lot of sexy girl voice singers like sia, portishead, rilo kelly. heck ive even listened to that katy perry song a few times. haha! ive been taking a little break from heavy music.

I haven't paid attention to top-40 in ages. No idea what's on the dial. I listen to classic rock. I'm old. They don't make music like they used to. Where's my cane? Get off my lawn!
But I did hear the Kid Rock thing a few times. In the choruses when they aren't playing the Lynyrd's signature "Sweet Home Alabama" arpeggio, also listen for the rhythm guitar's similarity to Warren Zevon's "Werewolf In London".
Kid Rock "samples" a lot of classic rock. He's the only artist I've heard in my life who's sampled Fleetwood Mac. No, really, Fleetwood Mac. On Devil Without a Cause, track 6 "Wasting Time", he worked parts of "Second Hand News" into it, it was...odd. The first time I heard "Summertime" or whatever it's called, I was disappointed, it wasn't "Werewolves". It started out sounding like it, but then ACK!

I love Zevon. When I'm alone in my truck and Werewolves comes on, I do the "Waaa Ooooo" part. :) My windows are tinted so I don't have to worry about people driving next to me seeing me do that.
i truly live in a cave. i have no idea what is new this summer. i listen to my play lists on the iPod far too much i guess.

Ok so ........... missbaxter I LOVE that song!!! Anime.........love Buckcherry of course most of their songs I can't listen too with the girlie.......lol. 2na ........ those were some of my favorites.......you can check my ipod if you don't believe me........
Smartmom.......I love that Kenny Chesney tune......also the tune he sings with Uncle Kracker is a summer song....... When the sun goes down! Ok I admit anything Kenny Chesney is good but I am a big country music fan.....lol.
Another one of my favorites is a country song called "Summer Girl" by Jessica Andrews!! It is a GREAT summer song! What else......hmmmmm Sweet Honey by Slightly Stoopid. Oh and anything with a Reggae beat........ makes me want to fly off to an island somewhere............
How about a little Alan Jackson......."It's Five O'Clock Somewhere"!
