wrong password for gug?

hi

in the last month or so iv had to request a new password for gug three times. i have it saved on Firefox (and written in my password book) so i know its the right password but it is not letting me in. this morning i requested a new password and i changed it straight away as soon as i got in and then i signed out. when i tried to log in again i got the wrong username or password message. what is happening?

are typing-in the password, or it's being saved and automatically entered for you?
are you using your member-name to sign-in or your email address?
you said you're using Firefox - does it do the same thing in *gasp* Internet Explorer?

i think i solved this issue hubby- but to be honest i dont understand how. i went to tools and cleared all private data - i ticked everything (apart from passwords) and pressed clear.

in answer to your questions above

i had password saved and used that (this is how i normally log in)-it didnt work

i tried typing in password too - that also didnt work

i used my member name and my email - none worked

i only tried it with Firefox (i dont really use ie - unless im testing trackers and such)

maybe you savy members know what was wrong and why clearing private data worked - i personally have no idea but it seems to have cleared the problem up for me. thankyou hubby. x

edit = just done it again. signed out. then tried to sign back in. wrong password message again!

so i just had to request new password to get back in. i wont sign out again because i probably will have to do another request and i wont see any replies.

i just did it again and had to request new password again? -8 times in a month? what am i doing wrong?
