My desktop - today the "blue" screen comes up and wont go away. Won't go into safe mode. Won't read the Dell reinstall disk I tried.
Any thoughts on how I can reinstall the windows while this is going on? I would love you forever!!!
Thanks
Laurie

Step one: Access the BIOS on start up. Depending on your model it may be F2 or Delete (The most common). Push the button repeatedly during start up.
Once the BIOS has been accessed, check you boot order and be sure the cd drive is listed before the hard disk.
Two questions before you reinstall. Is there data that you want to save on the hard drive and do you have a second computer?
If you are able to now boot into the recovery disk, first try to repair the installation before moving any further.
I'll check in with this post.
