ok. So I just downloaded moviemaker and I noticed that my saved projects are not in .mp3 format. is there any way I can convert them to mp3 format without downloading or installing a converter/decoder?

I havn't had to use MovieMaker for a while thanks to iMovie, but if I recall, MovieMaker will store your projects in it's own format, but then you can export or "produce" (I don't remember the exact term) your movie in several different formats.
Have you tried that?

It's under "Finish Movie", in the "other settings". It looks like all the settings are WMV except for "DV-AVI" which will create an uncompressed AVI.

In your original post you said you wanted "MP3" files, which are music files. What exactly are you trying to do?

My files look like they are saved in as VOB files.  How can I make them a file viewable to MovieMaker.  I downloaded the DVD Platinum converter but can't figure it out.
