Since this is our first contest, we're going to keep it simple. As time goes on and we work out all the kinks, the prizes will get even better! This prize is no slouch though. The Prizes:

We have a total of three (3) SanDisk Cruzer micro 4gb flash drives. Numbers one and two go to the first and second-place winners (standard or Premium Members). Bonus prize #3 goes to the Premium Member that comes in 3rd place. For clarification on what qualifies as a Premium Member, please read the General Contest Rules.

Who is eligible:

All Standard and Premium members are eligible to win. Moderators, site owners, and family of the site-owners are not eligible.

The contest:

This is easy, and anyone can do this, even the non-geeks!

To enter: Simply create a new post about your favorite (or most-hated) Movie (old, current, or even upcoming), TV-Show, Band, or other entertainer or entertainment method in our TV, Movies and Entertainment Forum (or one of it's sub-forums). Your post title (subject) must contain the object of your affection - for example, if your favorite TV show is Leave it To Beaver, the SUBJECT must have "Leave it to Beaver" in it - so, the title "Why I loved Leave It To Beaver" is eligible. The title "A old-time show I liked" is not eligible. Your post must contain at least 50 words, not counting your forum posting signature (if you have one). But since you're posting about whatever it is you love so much, 50 words or even more should be a cinch. You may enter (make new posts) as many times as you like - but each post must be on a separate subject (TV show, movie, etc). You may not post comments on your own post! (see below for why).

All qualifying posts made between 2PM Pacific Time, December 27, 2007 and January 4 2008 at 6PM Pacific Time are eligible to win.

To WIN:

OK - Making your new post as described above was easy, right? Now the hard part - winning! The winner( are whoever gets the most unique (by individual people) comments posted on their forum topic that they've created. So be sure to write your post about something that other people also love (or hate), and write it in such a way as to encourage people to post comments. And yes, you can ask them to post a comment as part of your original post, but only one comment per person will go toward your chances to win.

TIPS to win: Tell your friends to make comments on your post! Send them an email and tell them you NEED that 4GB Sandisk Flash Drive! Send a Myspace bulletin, put it on your Facebook wall, call grandma, whatever - the more people you tell to come and post a comment for you the better your chances are to win! Be careful though, only "real" comments will count. Comments that simply say "i like it too", or "LOL", or are otherwise pointless and meaningless are not eligible. And remember - only one comment per unique individual person will be counted!

How to get yourself disqualified or be ineligible:

Here are a few of the types of things that will mark your entry as invalid:

• Posting your entry in the wrong forum section. New entries are only eligible in THIS FORUM area (or one of it's sub-forums)

• Not including the name of your favorite show/movie, etc in the Subject (Title) of your post

• Leaving comments on your own entry post

• "nonsense" (short meaningless) comments will be deleted and/or will not count

• Cheating in any way - such as trying to create multiple accounts and post comments yourself, or having your friends do the same thing for you. Nobody likes cheaters - if you don't believe us, ask your mother.

The contest started a few minutes ago and ends on January 4th 2008 at 6pm Pacific Time. We plan on announcing the winners on Saturday January 5th. However, if we get more entries than we anticipate, it may take longer. But we promise to announce the winners as soon as is humanly possible. Remember to read the general rules on claiming your prize.
