Do they see everything on your computer?
Im still not sure what it means! I had someone 'hack' me as in my computer was so screwed up, all my passwords.
I wonder if someone can fill me in on how much this person may have seen?

Short answer, possibly Everything on your computer
Never, ever keep Credit card information,Checkbook information, or sensitive information on the computer or anywhere else that might be accessable to others where it might be easily found, or found with minimum to above average effort. If you are connected to the Internet and leave your computer on all the time (Like I do) then there is always a possibility that someone might stroll in and take a peek...minimize risk by minimizing what's there
Also helps to routinely clean out your history, form data, and temporary internet files. If you have a hard time remembering passwords and account name/numbers there is no shame keeping a notebook next to the computer instead of keeping them in form on the computer where they may be accessed
When doing banking and such on the computer always used a secured server (Https) and always close the browser before going on to do other things when finished and always use a newly opened window to conduct business to disallow trojans and peepers going into the secured server or snoopers going backward into the transaction
Firewalls and other defenses are more likely to make a curious hacker figure you must be hiding something important...so yeah, I am chuckling at the message on the right hand side of the screen noting I still use Internet Explorer and Bots that note My IP number as I have no Firewall, IP blocker. or other such defenses as there is nothing worth looking at on my computer unless you are into clasic PC games, online contests, or want to see that I visit here,Myspace, youtube and a few other chat and odd and end sites
But I dont see how they do this?! I have passwords on everything, they can just crack them?
I tried looking up how people do it, it seems insane to think its possible!!
Im blonde, haha
If someone had access to your computer they could have easily gotten them. Even without access it is possible to send a remote keplogger (which is illegal to put on someone else's computer). I would make sure you run your anti virus and then I would also run spybot seach & destroy along with Ad-Aware.
If you dont have the last two programs I added hyperlinks to get them for FREE. They are great programs to have anyways. I run them atleast once a month to just remove any unwanted crap ( you would be surprised). They help make your pc run better.
well if they were really good at it, then they should have been able to get/capture everything off of your system!
Tuna ><((((*> the other white meat!
