I’m always interested in what new music is out there or what is the latest buzz in podcast land. So, just curious to learn what is in your iPod?
Mine? About 80% podcasts and 20% music. I have a listening room at home and would much rather hear music over a quality system - at decible levels my ear buds can't handle! Here is a typical daily and some weekly podcasts I get from iTMS (most of which have been word-of-mouth):

What do I need now? A GUG Podcast!!
My first Mp3 player was the Creative Labs Muvo with a "Whopping" 128Mg of internal Memory and the thing could be pulled out of the controls to double as a Jump Drive. It's controller has since Broken and I have misplaced the Jump Drive component which I was using to move files between computers.
I currently Have a Ultra 6 in 1 that has the ability to record voice via the mic, has a FM tuner that you can record off of to "rip" songs right off your favorite radio stations, and the ability to play Mp3,wma,wav and can plug directly into a usb port to act as a Jump drive with it's "whopping" 256MB memory. It also takes up to 512MB Flash cards that acts as a Second flash drive when the Ultra is plugged in and Recording of Voice, FM ripping, and the storage and the Player function will automatically switch between playimg music in internal memory and the flash card....and by swiping out the flash cards I can organize my music into "Albums" and "Genere"....lol
In the Internal memory I have "Ammeno" By Era ("ripped" off Youtue with "Mp3myMp3"
In the Flash Drive I have a eclectic selection of songs I collected from American Idol (ripping the songs through "MP3myMP3"), songs from the 80's like "So Alive" by Love and Rockets (ripped with MP3myMP3" off of Youtube) as well as some songs "ripped' from performances on the tonight show, across the internet, and even from Jib Jab.
Keep most of my music on CD's or a back up Hard drive though and If I want it in my Mp3 player then I just transfer them in or onto the flash card for the Hard Drive stored ones or use DBpowerAmp's DMC CD audio imput to recompress selected songs back into Mp3 to be put in the MP3 player or a flash card..
Also have a unwanted Creative Labs Zen that brother doesn't want now as "CD's are cheaper and less fustrating" (not to mention losing a 10 cent cd in a $10 cd player is less $$$ lost) and tried selling it on Ebay but those seem a "dime a Dozen" even with it's 20gig Memory and the ability to be a "Plug-and-play Back up Drive"....and on thinking about that it's probably what I will probablly doing with it since it went 10 days without selling...lol
My brother has a "Tower of Power" that can rip CDs from tape, Records, and Data CDs with Mp3s and Wave and can also play Cds, data CDs with mp3s and waves in them as well as works as a Radio, and a surround sound system for his TV and gaming consuels (which he can rip audio from into CD or Tape)...oddly it, like my Ultra, "orphan technology" lost in the MP3 wars that is dominated by Ipods and Multifunction phones...lol
i love all kinds of music, but right now im really into metric, tegan and sara and the yeah yeah yeahs!
...this morning listening to a little norah jones sipping an espresso and going to chase it down with a mimosa while i read the wall street journal online!

I do have a ipod 30gb video and I love it. I have a mix of everything from AC/DC to Josh Groban (yes I love that mans voice). Not to mention that yes I am a self professed Christmas addict and I have a file of like 600 Christmas songs. I do have a ton of movies and some cartoons (family guy, simpsons and futurama). I also have a ton of ipod games. Basically my ipod is about 80% filled (I have files for my kids too). Oh also lots of pictures too.
I did find one neat program that I have used alot to convert movies over to watch on ipods called xilisoft DVD to ipod converter. It works wonderful and they do have a free trial offer.
I don't have an MP3 player... dunno.. never fell into that trend... those little earphones hurt my ears... although, if I had one, I'd probably have it full of a range of genres... along with some comedians... Dane Cook... Mitch Hedberg... that guy who likes cake... forgot the name...

The guy who likes cake is Gabriel somethingorother. We just caught him the other night, he was hilarious, I loved the bit when he got pulled over. I'll let ya know if I remember his last name.

I agree with anime about earbuds they are uncomfortable which is why I use the behind the ear headphones instead
If you have a Fry's nearby they always have those 2 GB models with no frills on sale, I have a couple and they are reliable and easy to use and work great as flash drives if nothing else

The behind the ears ones hurt me too... guess my ears are too small or something... I usually go for those big DJ ones.. they sound better anyway, but kinda defeat the purpose of those MP3 players being nice and compact... although I think the benefits outweigh the cons since they block out surrounding noise like car alarms, dogs barking, and annoying people...

I've never heard of Fry's before, but there's a ton of places around here I can find a no-frills ones. I don't even want it to play movies, I just want music when I'm riding the bus. I'll probably pick up one of those $25 no name ones, lol. I will, however, look up Fry's and see what they have, thanks for the tip!

I have a lyra and its super cheat at walmart, uses hardly any battery power (1 aaa battery - I buy the 20 pack from dollar tree and one battery gives me like 15 hours of play),its really durable and it only has like 500 mb on the player but you can put playlists on sd cards and it takes sd cards so its technically unlimited space lol.

No, not the fluffy guy... it was this guy who was talking about how much he loves cake... and then later in the skit he goes on about how he's married and about the wedding... and then he asks the audience 'Do you know why I got married?' -pause- "THE CAKE!" and he goes on another cake tangent... I couldn't stop laughing because by then I'd completely forgotten about the cake part..

My mp3 player (and RCA LYRA LMAO) needs to be replaced. I've had it for years and the music on it shows that. It ranges from muddy Waters - Champagne & Reefer to LFO...Alot of LFO..LOL
Oh yeah and its only capable of music lol.

I have about 20 gigs of music and 10 gigs of movies. The music ranges from Al Green to Slayer to The Beach Boys to Los Crudos. Movies are mostly skateboarding but I also have Jackass 2 and Shaun Of the dead. I have my iPod modded to look like an iPod Touch. Oh, I just add two games to it, Ms. Pac-Man and Tetris. The Tetris is awesome the Ms. Pac-man not so much. I have some photos of the wife and child. I have some installers for CCleaner, adaware etc. Also Floola which I use to transfer things back to my PC.

al green to slayer. that is completley from one end of the spectrum to the other. love it!! who is Los Crudos? i would totally rock the 80's hair/metal bands. haven't thought of adding slayer yet! al green - definitely. love billy squire to iron maiden. i use a shuffle for jogging/treadmilling. a mini for travel. and just picked up a new gen nano for video casts - cooking. haven't done the gaming thing as of yet. my hubby digs the hell out of his touch (oh that doesn't sound right) and it looks like fun, but i'm a less is more chic.
Los Crudos is a Spanish speaking punk band that has since stopped playing. They were very political. The singer left to front a gay straightedge band called Limp Wrist. My iPod lives most of it's life on shuffle. My wife wanted a less is more nano and now I think she wishes she had something that held more music.

I have a zune, with 6GB of music, season 1 of BSG and season 1 of Family Guy and season 1 of Enterprise (The Wire will be on it soon enough since season 5 starts tonight)
No podcasts but I will be adding some audio books too

how do you like your zune?
Love the Zune it has a large screen more capacity than I need (30GB) and is simple to use. If I didn't get the Zune for Xmas I would have bought the Archos 605 or a Creative Zen like my daughters.
Almost 9 so time to watch the premiere of The Wire :)
