What Is Your Favorite B-rate Flick?

Everyone has their favorite type of movie, whether it be a B-rate classic, chick-flick, action packed, drama, horror, sci-fi, or documentary. I have a craze for late night B-rate flicks! But that category has many subcategory films. Here are a few of my top favs:

• Horror:  (1) The Blair Witch Project, (2) Crazies
• Sci-Fi:   (1) Battle of the Worlds,  (2) Andromeda Strain
• Frat House: National Lampoon's Animal House (the orig w/John Belshi), and Vacation (with Chevy Chase)
• Chick Flick: Two Moon Junction

I had the right to remain silent... but I didn't have the ability.

I liked Zoolander, even though I cringed every three seconds from the stupidity. I'd classify it as a B-movie because, well, IT'S ZOOLANDER.

Other notable mentions:

1) Spice World : terrible movie, terrible plot, but excellent if you listened to them in the 90s - probably only applies if you're a girl in her early twenties.

2) Heathers : involves a murder and lots of snarky teenage girls in the eighties; if you're into camp, Winona Ryder, and 80s sarcasm, go right ahead.

3) Welcome to the Dollhouse : about an outcast - Dawn Wiener - who gets teased mercilessly at school and then has to deal with her little sister being kidnapped.

4) Simply Irresistible : stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, who plays a cook running a failing restaurant who finds out she has magical powers that transfer her emotions into the food she prepares. It's a cheesy, cheesy romantic comedy which involves a really bad crab puppet and a man named Sean Patrick Flannery. Awful stuff, but definitely worth it.

All in all, gah. I can recommend some movies that are actually good... which I may do in a separate thread, hah.

I don't know if it's a B-Movie flick..but I totally love "From dusk till dawn". The Salma Hayek scene is a classic.

I dunno if its really B-rate on purpose, but I'm a sucker for "Demolition Man". On the topic of Stallone movies that almost were, I also like "Judge Dread". Tho sometimes I get the 2 confused...

Oh, I almost forgot! One of my weaknesses, that I'm almost sorry to admit: "Police Academy" movies! I watched them all as a kid, and if they're on I still will watch them w/ fond memories. Pathetic, I know. 

OK, cheezy sci-fi?  Gotta count "Galaxy Quest" on the list.  By no means a good movie,  not even a little bit,  but fun, cracks me up every time the aliens refer to "Star Trek" as "the historical records"  Bwahahaha!
