I was just wondering what members of GEEK are web designers, developers, architects etc and who has advance exposer to (X)HTML, XML and other coding languages?
Web Designers/Developers
I've done a lot of stuff with HTML and CSS, websites and myspace profiles and such. I started out using notepad, and then I got a freeware program called PHP Designer 2005 that works really well, and then I ended up getting lazy and used Photoshop and Dreamweaver. The cost sucks, but they make it a heck of a lot easier. I'm also trying to learn some PHP, but it's a lot different. If I didn't already know VB.NET, I'm not sure I'd be able to understand PHP at all.
Actually when I first started to learn to write HTML on UNIX, yes I used pico. Netscape 1.0 was just coming out, so the ability to see graphics was huge! Up to that point it was all text, and using gopher like mad to see what interesting stuff was out there.
I've since progressed to php and some other stuff.

Hi Isaac!
You were asking if I use a text editor? I code everything in notepad, then just save it as .htm or .css depending on whether it is html/xhtml or a stylesheet. Nothing fancy...I have tried using FrontPage and Dreamweaver, but it seems that I spend so much time trying to learn the programs that I don't get much accomplished!
I know HTML, XHTML and CSS pretty well. I'd like to get a better grasp on some of the XML related standerds; namely XSL. I've built web sites in the past; but at this time I don't know what I would put in those sites so don't bother. Plus, non of my sites ever got any traffic!

Anyhoo, I will try to help when I can!
