Not sure if this is in the right place or not but I accidentally sent someone a FaceBook friend request..... WTF do I do???? BTW, I totally didn't want to send this request, it happened after I saw the person had been checking out my myspace more than a lot and so I just searched them on facebook.

Canceling the friend request from the profile page works but doesn't the person still get the request in their e-mail? Does the "requester's" e-mail address show?

Can the person you sent/canceled request to see that you sent it? Accidentally sent one, then cancelled a few hours later. Will they know I sent it, then later cancelled it?

1. Log in to Facebook.
2. Search for the person in the top search box.
3. Once you find the person in the list, click on his/her name to open his/her profile.
4. The profile page will show a button labled as "Friend Request Sent" on the top right area, and this button would have a little drop down button on it's right.
5. Click on the drop down button, you would get the option "Cancel Friend Request". Click "Cancel Friend Reqeust" and it will do the trick for you.

Deactivating your facebook will not UNsend the freind request you sent. They will still get the friend request but wont be able to see any info about you if your account is still deactivated (ie; if you have not logged back in to that account).

I've been getting friend request confirmations from people I didn't send a request to. I don't know what I did to send them a request, but I'd like to rectify this. I don't like knowing I sent these requests without realizing it. Help! Does anyone know what I did or how I can find out who all I accidentally sent requests to?

My friend and i blocked each other and then made up again so we unblocked each other again, bt now i can few his profile bt cannot send a friend request to him any longer and his message button is low lighted, he does not know how to fix this..he types in my name and search bt says my profile dissapears again..what can the problem be? My other friend tried to see if she can send a friend request to him bt it did the same thing..help

Please help me... A friend sent me a friend request and used a different name and before they could tell me who it was, i had answered facebook's question if i knew them or not. i said no. how do i undo this and add them as a friend? is there a way out of it?? Please help!

They may be in your hidden requests... or your just going to have to send them a request with a posted note of "meant to add you" and wait for them to add you. once you delete a request though there really isnt a magical way of getting it back. I guess the back button may work, but knowing how facebook setup is, it'll probably just take you to the page you were on before the friend request page.

Go to that person's page. Hover you mouse over "Friend Request Sent." Click "cancel friend request" in the dropdown box. And ...done!

go to the profile and down under that persons face and friend list it says cancel friend request under that says share profile and than report or block this person so click the cancel friend request.
