Understanding DIV OVERLAYS

Understanding DIV OVERLAYS

Probably a stupid question. What exactly is a DIV Overlay? Is it meant for showing CERTAIN friends a certain
section in your page(like: photos, about me, interest, slide shows, pics, comments, etc,), While other friends see something totally different???

If so how is that possible? Are certain friends told to input a certain code to see what they want a selected few to see
like secrets, etc., while the regular friends are just able to see something different?

If so, Is there a way to see all of a person's DIV OVERLAYS? I have a feeling my EX-GF, is showing our mutual friends certain common things, while her "NEW PARTY FRIENDS" get to see something different like A Different Slide Shows, Top Friends, Etc...

Can anyone hook me up THANKS!!!!

Re: Understanding DIV OVERLAYS

A div overlay is basically covering up part or all of your old profile and starting over with your content. So you can cover your whole profile and  create a new look that's nothing like a typical MySpace profile. The only way she can selectively show people different profiles is to have two profiles. You can see what's under a Div by using Firefox and going to "View" and selecting "Page Style" and then "No Page Style" Switch back by selecting "Basic Page Style".

"I'm just like you only shorter."
