i've never missed a U2 concert in az, and with that said, never saw a bad U2 concert performance. now, Zooropa was a bit "out there" but still a great performance. my first was the making of rattle & hum which was filmed at ASU. it was free. i know we'll be attending their show once it hits philly, if not, we'll arrange a flight deal to LA or perhaps seattle.

They wrote the album with Lanois and Eno, so the rest of it should be good, but Daniel Lanois does sometimes have a bit of a cliché streak which probably rubbed of on the rest of them.
I figure the lyrics have something to do about Israel’s conflict with Lebanon a while back, the “Get on you’re boots” line is referring to going out to a nightclub(Lebanon is infamous for their nightlife) and they mention bomb scares and wars between nations. Probably wrong about that, but it makes the song a lot less nonsensical.
Edge, Larry and Adam are in high form, and besides the odd lyrics Bono sounds good. So hopefully the rest of the album is better then the first single.
