Iran is ready.. Is the rest of the world?

Heyy, don't worry - their nuclear program is only for energy!

Iran says it won't budge on enrichment.  The consequences could effect the US more than you can possibly imagine.

This one single issue should be the deal breaker for every voting US citizen.  What will your candidates do to stop Iran from becoming nuclear capable?  Not what they eventually changed their mind to in order to get elected, but what will they actually do?

 The future appears to be the scenario  of a  super hero video game; minus the super hero. We got plenty of bad guys, but the ability to mediate or even reach compromise with any of them seem to have dimnished to the point of nonexistence. We need to TALK! We need to respect,but the line in the sand is quickly disappearing from the winds of war. I don't know what the answer is, but missile testing and talk of nuclear weapons, does no good for anyone, whatever country you live in.juliek

Ahmadinejad has already said what he will do to Israel when he has the capability.  With those missle tests, he's showing off and thumbing his nose at the world.  There is no way Iran can be allowed to become nuclear capable.  Europe and the UN will sit on their hands like they did when Saddam Hussein repeatedly flaunted his disregard for UN resoulutions for 10 years until enough was enough.

Israel will be the ones to strike first - you can bet on that.  Because no one knows exactly where Iran is in their enrichment and other weapons programs (much like Iraq in the late 90's), it's a safe bet that they will have something ready to return to Israel after Israel feels threatened enough to launch a preemptive strike.  The problem is not knowing.  If you were Israel, would gamble with your country's total destruction?

We can't even chance a nuclear exchange between countries in the middle east.  Aside from the destruction and Arab countries taking strong sides, a stoppage of oil in the middle east will fry the world oil economy.

In someone's blog here, I made reference that if that happened, refined fuel in the US could approach $50 per gallon.  You do not even want to think about what will happen in the US if diesel goes over $30/gal.  Low economy?  It will be no economy.  When 90% of the US lose their jobs it will be like New Orleans after Katrina but it will be nationwide with more soldiers. 

Drilling in the US as a solution to this?  No.  A small band-aid on a leg amputation.

And it all starts with Iran.  Go back to what I said - we know what Ahmadinejad is going to do because he already announced it.  He told us!  So who's going to keep Iran from becoming nuclear capable?  France?  yeah right.  Europe?  The UN?  Who?
