I've used AVG free edition forever, and I've never run into any problems with it..

But I just did a virus scan the other day, and it found some trojan horses and other things that it could not "heal." Some of the paths are in my system 32's.

I haven't noticed any trouble with doing my usual activities.. my internet is running a little slower then usual, but I could chalk that up to a number of other things.

Why would it not be able to heal these viruses?

What are my options to get rid of it? I'm unemployed right now, so I don't have the money to buy an anti-virus program.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Trojans: Anti-Virus cannot "heal"

google the name of the virus and check to see if anyone has a removal tool available for that virus, that is the easiest way to get rid of some of the easier virus's

if you cannot find a removal tool write back with all of the information you have and make sure you download Hijack This incase someone needs to go over your logs  to provide more help
