To anyone that uses trackspace..
Do you notice that when you log in (to trackspace) your MySpace views suddenly go up between 2 and 5 views? But no one was tracked?

nevermind i found it!
Hey where do you find your myspace id # ?
Welcome to GuG. There is more than one way to find your id#. Some include:
1. go to your myspace home page and click on view my profile. Once your profile appears, look at the address bar of your browser which is at the top of your computer screen. You will see this :
2. Hover your computer mouse over your profile picture while viewing your own profile and then look at the status bar at the bottom of your computer screen (status bar is the gray area above your task bar). You will see it at the end of the information that shows up in the status bar.
3. While looking at your profile pic that is shown on one of your friends list you can hover the mouse over it will also be in the status bar.
4. On your home page it will be in a box under the box that says "hello your display name." But if you have chosen a custom myspace url then it won't have the numbers. Instead it will show the url name you chose.
Yes,I have noticed and its because trackspace counts how many times you view your profile via trackspace which is often seeming as though your profile is on the "View my visits" page. Hope this helps.
I'm talking about the MySpace counter. It shouldn't go up if you view your own profile. And I am not viewing my own profile anyway.
Or maybe because trackspace has to pull your profile info to show your phot and yadda yadda when you log in. Maybe this "ups" your MySpace profile counter. Or is that what you already mean :-)

I think I just figured out why the myspace counter goes up as well as why the hits may not be being tracked...When you are on trackspace, there is an option to click on other trackspace members' profiles (who are on line at the same time as you.) Therefore, when your profile is viewed--it adds a count on your myspace counter.
And if the person who views your profile via trackspace is using Adblock along with the filters installed--then they won't be tracked.
EDIT: most people who use trackers are probably using adblock with filters.

Thats what I mean. Its kind of funny reading you answer your own question.

Oh, I do't just do this in forums... I do that in real life too
sometimes you just need to write/think outloud.
