Thrill Seeker? Adrenline Chaser?

I don't really do any crazy stuff. This is from last summer in Costa Rica and about as risky as i get:

It was pretty scary standing on the edge before going down but there's not much risk involved. They strap you in pretty well (and i had some help ).

I've been white water rafting and it scared me like no other. Hubby and I were in this itty bitty canoe and as fun as it was in the quiet water, when we would get to rougher water, I was clenching my oar with everything I had and hubby was yelling "Paddle".

We got through a few rough spots okay, but the group we were with were high school buddies of hubby. They had the "chest of beer". We had the "chest of food". All I could think of was that all of the perfectly fried chicken I had made the previous day was going to end up in the water.

The friends decided that it was time hubby and I ended up in the water. After all, they had all been there at least once, if not twice.

So here we are coming up to a line up of his friends in canoes, they are prepared to ambush us. None of them have no idea that I am scared to death of water. None of them knew it took weeks for hubby to convince me that water rafting was safe and nothing would happen to me.

Holding my paddle as tight as I could, heart racing, and all of me begging to not end up in the water, we came head on with them. All of a sudden, before we met and our canoes crashed, hubby and I came to a complete stop in the water. We had become lodged on a huge rock right under the water, dead center.

Next, all the other friends canoes flipped and threw all the contents out into the water. Beer chest, oh beer chest went out and I watched beer cans bobbing up and down in the water, heading away. They had lost the bungie cord that held the beer chest closed in their previous spill.

Finally being able to breathe, I started yelling, "Get the Beer!". If there was anything I needed at that time was a beer.

I'll never forget watching them all go over. Anyway, we made it to the end of the trip and I stayed inside an upright canoe the whole time and swore to never go again.

As for rollercoasters, NO, I can't. I've tried. Even a bitty one at Atlantic City and even the one for kiddies at Santa's Workshop at the North Pole.

My adventure and thrill is to go as fast as I can on our four-wheelers up in the mountains. Yep, that's my speed. I love it.

If I was standing on a fish, I'd slip and fall......

mine all started back in high school. TP'ing houses. my first was kind of scary. and i'm sure i would have wet myself if i was caught. it was the neighbors house. a group of us would then proceed to TP on a regular basis. once a week. and since we all lived in different neighborhoods, we would alternate. then we would get creative and try to decorate instead of mass toiletpaper chaos. this carried on for nearly 6 months. then flyers went up and a reward was offered so we all agreed to stop. but i have to say, i loved the adrenaline at that age. as an adult, i love mountain bike riding, parasailing, diving (land/air), and roll-a-coasters, bungie, and white water rapids.

Skateboarding and mountain biking. There is nothing quite like pushing yourself mentally and physically to do or try things that are just outside your normal abilities. Because really the main thing between me and doing what I want to do is fear of pain. So, smack your self in the face a few times, tell your self it won't hurt any more than that and go get on it!

I'm a wus and too much of a chicken....I hate roller coasters.  I think it's a height thing and fear of the car flying off the track.  I know there's a slim to none chance of that ever happening, but with my luck.....!!!!   Now, the rafting, I would do.
