Thinking about getting a new ipod

I have an ipod from about two years ago and it isn't color or anything so i can't watch videos...my question is, which ipod should i get? and is it worth it?  my current ipod works great and does everything i want...my husband has a psp and we watch movies from that....also, should i just wait till the ipod phone comes out?  would that be better?

I've got an iPod Touch and I love it!  I haven't had much of an opportunity to use it although I just got it because I've been super busy.  I also have an iPod Nano Red and I still use that one as well in my car.  It really depends on what your needs are.  If you have AT&T and you really want the iPhone then go for it.  I'm not interested in the phone because I do a lot of texting and I'm not really feeling having to type by the touch screen.  I always mess up even on my iPod Touch.  Not to mention, I have a few friends who complain about their iPhone and there is no insurance on it so if you break it you have to pay a lot to get it fixed instead of a $50 payment for another type of phone.  If you don't have that much music, the Nano would be good for you.  But if you want the coolness of the internet, YouTube and all that, the iPod touch is a good choice!

Depends on what your looking for. I have an iPod Touch, and love that I can have video, music, and internet. Now, I have a GoPhone, so I get my phone for pretty cheap and don't want to pay the expensive coverage from AT&T. I also like the applications you can get for the Touch. If you just want a large amount of space and don't care about a bigger screen and internet, go withthe 30gb or 80gb. I had a 30 before I got the touch and had ample space.

I would take an iPhone nowadays, but if you don't have the money or really want a iPod, I would stick with the iPod Nano. I love them!

I have an ipod nano that I got around 2 years go, no vid or anything fancy but I think my next one will be the new nano because it's small and has enough capacity for all my songs as well as any vids. Not planning on downloading tons of vids or films, I just need more room for songs.

Oh and I think it'll be 8GB.

I can tell you I have the ipod 30gig and I haven't even come close to filling it.  So far I have on it: 845 songs, 13 movies (full movies), 6 ipod games and 342 photos.  I love my ipod - my kids love my ipod so for Christmas Santa got them all 30 gig ipods (so they would leave mom's alone).

I'd get the 80 Gig if you think you'll come anywhere close to filling it. I heard they may switch to flash drives like on the Nanos. Flash drives are cool but cost more. An 8 Gig Nano costs as much as a 30 gig iPod. Of course in a few years there will be something even better so it may be worth holding off. I have a 60 Gig and wouldn't trade it for the world.
