To help retirees, low income families and veterans, the IRS has set this day aside to assist them in filing their 1040A so they may receive their payment from the Economic Stimulus Package. This helps those who normally do not have to file a tax return.
A combination of qualifying income equal to $3,000 is required. Qualifying income is defined as any combination of earned income such as wages, nontaxable combat pay and certain benefits from Social Security, Veterans Affairs and Railroad Retirement.
