Sorry but i am very Irritated! My Daughter just got home from playing raquetball. She and her dad do this every saturday at the Y. She has her own locker there that I use as well when i go work out. She said when she got to her locker to get her gym bag her locker was open and her stuff was gone! She is now missing her Iphone. The gymbag i can care less about, I am just ticked that someone would do this to a young girl. My husband said that there was not alot of people there that early and he is upset that the only other female that was there was our neighbor and she is in her sixties. I dont know much about the Iphone but apparantly they can be tracked. My husband is on the phone with Cingular now. What if my daughter was in there showering? My daughter didnt even think of that, she was worried about her phone and how hard she worked to earn the money to buy the darn thing. So for now on on Saturdays I am going to join them because just when you think you are safe we get reminded that we are never safe of predators or thieves!
Stolen Iphone
It can be tracked through the SIM card. As long as the person didn't remove the SIM card AT&T/Cingular can track the exact location of the phone. I had a phone stolen a couple of years ago, and it had a SIM card but the phone company wouldn't track it because the thief didn't pry it out of my hands. I even bought "theft insurance" on it for $78 every six months.
Most people, thieves included, don't know about the SIM card.
..UPDATE UPDATE! The phone has been tracked and returned and the tard that took it is now jobless! Yes it was an employee. And apparantly he was not authorized too be in the girls locker room. The security camera got him and now he has to face the consequences. We are pressing charges and he will never forget what he did.

Yes they do have cameras and they will review them when the manager comes in. I guess the regular employees do not have access to that stuff. Its a good thing they dont. My husband thinks it an employee... who knows! They will get caught!

Oh No. I'm sorry to hear that. It sucks that people can be so cruel, and then after all the hard work your daughter went through to save up for it. How sad and frustrating. I hope you guys are able to track her phone and get it back. As for who stole it-KARMA.

Thanks Bella. She is so pissed right now. But me and my motherly instincts I tell her that I am glad it was her phone and nothing happened to her. If we dont track it down Im going to buy her a new one. She literally mowed lawns, washed cars, walked dogs, and baby sat for that phone. She is actually calling her "clients" now asking if they need her services again. I love that she is determined!
