last seen 20 weeks 3 days agoIf you're looking to have a St. Patty's day party at home, here's a couple of drinks that are easy to make and fun to drink:
Irish Car Bomb
* 1/2 shot (1/2 ounce) Irish whiskey
* 1/2 shot Irish cream
* 1/2 pint Guinness beer
Fill a pint glass or beer mug with the Guinness and let it settle. Pour the Irish Cream and the Irish whiskey into a shot glass. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug! Yummy!
Green Beer
Pick your favorite light colored beer. Add 1-2 drops of green food coloring and stir.
Irish Coffee
* 1 - 1 1/4 ounce (a shot or so) Irish whiskey
* Coffee
* Canned whip cream
* Green Creme de Menthe (if you want to get fancy)
Pour the whiskey into the coffee cup (a clear one makes a pretty drink).
Add coffee and sugar to taste. Top with whipped cream and drizzle the creme de menthe on top.

I forgot to suggest just plain old Guiness for Saint Patty's day.
It's a little dark for me, but what I like to do is layer Guiness with some hard apple cider. Some call this a Snakebite. I hear it's a sin, but it makes it more drinkable for me.
Plain old Guinness is the perfect way to go. Smithwicks and Harp are good too, all by the same brewing company. A proper Black and Tan is half a pint of Guinness poured over a pouring spoon onto half a pint of Smithwicks Ale. A Half and Half is Guinness over Harp Lager. The Guinness website also suggests a Black Velvet: Guinness in a champagne flute with just a top off of champagne. Damn, I'm now very thirsty...
You most def seem like a guinness kinda man devil...

Yeah, I'm a "beer expert", but I'm still not drinking... ho hum. Still don't mind sharing my knowledge, I think beer gets a bad rap cause it's relatively cheap and "unsophisticated". But I'm not afraid to pay good money for good beer.
Smithwicks is my favorite everyday beer. You can get it at the Supermarket fairly cheap and the only "real" pub nearby has it on tap.
I always recommend Hoegaarden (Belgian Wheat Beer) or Blue Moon (the Americanized version) to people who want to try a good beer but don't know what to try, or are tired of the same old weak American major brewery fare. Since they taste kinda fruity, they're also good for people who don't like the "regular" beer flavor.

I tried to find it in my bottle collection and no, I don't think I've tried that one. I live in a horrible area to get good beers. I'll sometimes drive about an hour to go to a store that sells make-your-own six packs. That's a really good way to give something new a try.

Im not sure I am drinking strawberry kiwi right now nect time I make some I shall make lemon lime and Ill let you know of any color changes to my tounge. lol

Absolutely! After a couple of those, you won't mind drinking the green beer.
Oh, by the way, people: Green beer = green tongue, so if you forget to wear green, just stick out your tongue!!
be forwarned there a reason its called and irish carbomb cause you if you dont like all those ingrediants BOOOM!!!! you will explode. LOL

Ummmm Irish Car Bombs. I used to drink those like crazy when i was serving. Not so much anymore lol.
