Just so everyone knows:
When cooking chicken in the crock-pot, use the kind with skin!

I crock potted some skinless chicken breasts that had been in the freezer for a while with some barley, potatoes, carrots, etc, and it came out a tasteless mush!

I guess all that fat in the chicken skin is good for something... Sad

Hey geek - I did the same thing and I agree. I did discover that if you really don't want the skin or you have a freezer full of skinless chicken (ummm...me sometimes) that if you rub the skinless chicken with olive oil very generously that it taste fine and will even brown some (go figure in a crock pot). I'm a big crock pot cooker ~ got me one of those huge Brady bunch crock pots. Five min. prep, go to work and come home to a house that smells wonderful and dinner is done Laughing

Have you ever used those crock pot liners? I keep saying I'm going to try them but haven't yet.

Oh Happy Mothers Day Geek ~ hope hubby did something extra special for you!

The liners RAWCK!!!  Seriously, sometimes a tiny bit drips through, but I love them, love not needing to soak the crock pot in the sink for a day before I can use it again.
