Has anyone seen the Silence Your Rooster (silenceyourrooster.com) TV commercials? They're witty, and funny, but all they show is the Silence Your Rooster website. Are they working for you? did it make you check-out the silence your rooster site? TAGs: TV, commercial, rooster, ads, Ambien, silenceyourrooster.com _________________________________ If this were a real comment signature, it would say something interesting

haha i thought they were funny but had no clue wut they were advertising. i need some sleeping aids though... well help getting to sleep not staying asleep. grrrrr...

oh you are so right lady.c - - when i was in the east coast a few weeks ago, there were more pharmaceutical commercials on t.v. than we ever get here in the west. i was absolutely amazed by that! must be due to all of the drug manufacturing companies there. Tuna ><(((( '> the other white meat!

That may be part of it, but it could also be the TV service provider. I used to have cable from Cablevision, now I have satellite from Dish Network. Seems like any time slot on cable that would advertise a local business has been replaced on Dish by ads for magic pills, some FDA approved, some slightly more questionable.

little over the top for sleep aid! i think the reason they need to make it fun is because the ambiencr is .....crap! you will not sleep for longer than 6-hrs. - but they took the original "good stuff" off the market. husband uses it when he has those dreaded 16-18 hour over seas flights. we have 2 bottles of the "good stuff" so he uses is wisely Tuna ><(((( '> the other white meat!

The laws regarding Rx advertising state that if you name the medication in the ad as well as what it's for, you MUST list the side effects, or something along those lines. When the side effects fall into the scary category, drug manufacturers use this type of commercial. Remember a few years ago when what's now OTC Alli (weight loss) was still Rx? I can't remember what it was called at the time. Anyway, the commercial was split into 2 parts, with 2 or 3 other commercials in between. The first part showed heavyish women, in a kind of greyish, muted wash. Fast forward a few more ads, and those same women were shown in much brighter color, all appearing 20 or more pounds lighter, and the URL for the drug manufacturer's website flashed across the screen. No doubt what they were selling. These are a lot more fun, but the same sort of thing.
