my "admirer" recently posted my PO Box number as her mood on myspace to show me she's obtained that info. Mature for a 38 yr old mother of 4.
My question is, are there postal workers slipping this info out the back door of the post office for a little bit of green? I stopped in and the girl at the front desk assured me that it's not public information anymore, that while businesses can get that info from a forwarding form (by writing "Forwarding Information Requested" under the return address"), regular citizens can't - something I found out first-hand when trying to get my ex-husband's new address last summer. The lady at the post office also said that for 18 months, the forward is in effect and when that time is up, they return items to the sender with a sticker containing the new address - but mine hasn't expired yet. I wouldn't have filled out the forward if I'd remembered the return-with-sticker practice. I don't think i'll ever be rid of the nut!
so, y'all know anything about black market po box dealers? lol
Oh, she's in a state bordering Canada, and I'm in West Texas, so she didn't just go down to blockbuster and ask a buddy to pull me up (like years back when she got my unlisted number).

If it is written down somewhere, wether hard copy or on a computer database, it is accessable....just a matter of how much effort it takes to get it ("retired" hacker giving personal experience advice)
Nowadays there is that "find anyone" service where for a fee they will help you find "long lost relatives and friends" which can easily be abused by Stalkers as these companies are driven by money, not the person buying the informatikon from them's motive
If you have ever entered a contest with that Po box adress, bought something online, baught somethjing mail order, or entered a contest with that P.O Box those "gumshoe sites" have your name and Address, and so now does she.
What you can do is try to find every "gunshoe service" she has used and let them know that you have a Stalker that used their service to find you and you would prefer that your new information not be included in their database when you change it
