SG-1 Fans

SG-1 Fans

This is a question for all you Star Gate SG1 fans.  I caught a couple episodes recently and i notice that the SG1 team has a couple new members from another sci-fi show, Far Scape.  How did that happen?  do they explain/bridge the two shows?

great web page 2na!

bummers about farscape getting cancelled.  a lot of corny shows that i like on sci-fi get cancelled.  like painkiller jane and flash gordon.  i read that the makers of flash apologized for producing such a terrible show but also that flash will be remade much better.

yah i love firefly, i bought the movie too.  im glad to see summer glau in the sarah conner chronicles.  i like that show a lot too.

oh yes, husband-of-mine and i are huge sci-fi fans. totally dug painkiller jane. husband is a flash gordon fan through and through. 

do you like flicks like 2001 Space Odyssey or 2010 Odyssey Two? stanley kubrick launched 2001  in 1968. unbelievably ahead of its time yet so right to date with today's times.

i like flash gordon too.  especially the original movie.  ming was way cooler as well as every other character.  (admitting bashfully) as a kid i used play flash gordon, sticking my arm down stumps and fighting bad guys.  lol!!

yup 2001 and 2010 totally cool stuff.  i remember when the crew member was revisited by i think a ghost crew member and he had a vision that turned into a baby?  that scared the crap out of me.  heh!  great movie, i loved the obilixes. before that closest thing i ever saw to an obolix was in this comic Asterix the Gaul.

probably my colossus sci-fi movie would have to be dune, the one with kyle mclachlan.  orinally the artist geiger, same guy who did aliens was supposed to design the set and costumes.  but that fell through.  im a big geiger fan and always wondered how the movie wouldve looked if he had stayed on board.  i read a bunch of the dune books and even sat through the sci-fi remakes, which werent half bad.  the production was low budget but they included alot of content that the silverscreen version left out. 

ive been watching lately star trek voyager, i think.  the one with the lady captain.  its got a cool crew.

Giger is awesome! I used to use Giger Satan stuff as my MySpace profile pic, it always gave Smartmom the creeps! I still have a bunch of Giger art in my MySpace pic folders.

Kubrick is crazy - in a good way. I haven't seen 2001 in forever, but I REALLY like A Clockwork Orange. Also I liked Eyes Wide Shut.

oh indeed! i used to call those "trip flick" because i'm pretty certain someone was on the acid trip of all times to make those two films!
