I posted about this software in another thread for someone who wanted a replacement for myspace mozilla, for backing up friends lists. Well I finally downloaded it myself to check it out-and just sent a comment to all my GUG buddies on my profile with just a few clicks. I'm not going to go into all the features, cause there are a lot and you can read it for yourself at the site. It won't replace Firefox for all of use who depend on it and all it's great extensions. But as an additional tool for myspace, this little program is a hoot! And the features I've tried so far actually do work as advertised--and I got to use funky purple text to boot! I figure just installing/uninstalling/reinstalling works. A hassle, but still easier than backing up page by page.
Oh well - I guess it'll do until something better comes along. And eventually something will... I hope.

Okay, I just UNinstalled BuddyWave since it's PI&&ING me off!
One - have a look at the forums there - EEK!
Two - no FAQ's addressing this issue - and I've been looking all morning.
I installed BuddyWave and tried the friends list backup on my own profile. Perfect. I shut it down then logged in as another user - here I am logged in on myspace, another account - not mine - using the BW browser and the friends list that comes up is MY OWN. I couldn't find an option to clear it, so I asked in their forums. I have a hunch, since it doesn't even look like they have a mod there, that I won't get a response.
Anyone have any thoughts about this?? I'm afraid to hit "restore" anywhere, since it looks like that in some instances sends out friends requests. I don't want to be sending them to MY friends list from another account.

I haven't really had time to play with it, aside from the comment I sent out last night---been a busy day and haven't been able to get to the pc. But I will try logging in with a different account and see what happens. If Im successful I'll report back.
EDIT: Well I can't even get on buddywave now. It keeps trying to download an update that appears to be corrupt. Heading over to the site now to see what I can find......ugh

Good luck finding help on the BW site. It's a great concept - but they need some help with support big time.
But wa-wa-we-wa - has my browsing sped up since uninstalling myspace mozilla! It's SO much faster and my window looks nicer without it. And now that I've finally gotten used to Firefox, as a result of installing MM in the first place, here I have to go back to IE to use BuddyWave. Sigh.
But thanks for trying it on a second account. Let me know if you have success with it! Maybe I can figure out what I am doing wrong!

I haven't tried using it at all today - reinstalled it last night.
I have an idea, since I've emailed and posted in their forums and even PMed a moderator there about multiple accounts. No reply. Although my PM was read.
Since many of us DO have multiple accounts on myspace (although I doubt many want to back up a fauxfile), maybe if we all contact them about multiple accounts, we can get an answer. Just a thought. I have an idea it's not as easy to configure as it should be. I played with it a LOT yesterday. Maybe you just can't?

It's still not functioning for me. I tried to open it this morning when I got home (been at the airport for almost 20 hours) and it's still trying to update and glitching when it does. Tried uninstalling--wouldn't uninstall properly. Tried re-installing--no go either. And I'm so damn tired now--I gotta get some z's. I'll mess around more tonight when I wake up from a nice long nap! LOL Hopefully by then I'll be able to use it again! I really liked it when it did work! LOL

Thank goodness you posted this Jewels....I get a little tired of looking thru my friend list and sending comments individually! Very time consuming! You're such a dear!
