Screen alignment

Screen alignment

Hi all,

New to this forum ( and computers ) and I need a little help. The display on my screen has 'moved down'. At the top of the screen is a band of black and at the bottom only about 2-3mm of the top of the system tray is visible. I have system restored to before this happened but it did not fix it. I have tried to find a option to fix it but am unable to locate it. Iam running window vista on hp pavillion pc with hp w1907 screen. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Cool thanks all .Turns out there is a auto adjust button (on the front on my monitior- fixed it with one press- It had been driving me crazy for weeks!!!

Re: Screen alignment

If you right click on your screen (the screen that has your icons) and click on properties you will get this box:

Now go to settings and adjust the screen resolution and that will adjust how your screen will appear size wise. Different size monitors require different settings so you may have to play around with it till you find the best one for your screen size. Now note my does look a little different because I run duel monitors but the screen resolution part in all the same. You just won't see box 1 & 2 (unless you run duel monitors too).

Re: Screen alignment

Try adjusting the monitor settings.

(there are sometimes buttons on the front of your monitor)

edit: For the specific monitor that you specified, check out this article...click here.
