Hello,
This is my first post, and I know there is a way you can retrieve passwords you've entered from your computer through Firefox, but I really need to know if there is any way I can retrieve my passwords that I entered on INTERNET EXPLORER. There must be a way. A legal way, nothing stalker-ish, and WITHOUT using a type recorder of some kind. Internet explorer must have an option for this. Any knowledge or help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Retreiving a password

That's the problem!  I don't have the password to the email address I used to open my account, and yes I've tried the forgotten password link on that, and for some reason, none of the answers to the security questions they ask work...even though the answers are right.  Their HAS GOT to be a way to recover the passwords!  PS-this is NOT to read someone else's email.  Haha.  I really just want to log into my account, which I last accessed only a month ago.  I feel like an idiot. Thank you both for responding.  And ANY assistance with this will be so greatly appreciated!  Thanks again.

David.

Re: Retreiving a password

Thank you so much for the advice, but I still can't seem to locate any of my passwords.  I entered it for Myspace and Facebook about one month ago, and I cannot remember the password to email I used to log-in to them.  So, I can't log-in to any of the three, and I can't simply reset the passwords.  I know there must be a way, but I couldn't locate the password.  If anyone has ANY information at all about this, PLEASE let me know if it's even possible of retrieving them off my computer.  Share your knowledge with me!  I really need these passwords.  Thank you!  And thank you for the warm welcome!  Smiling

David.

Re: Retreiving a password

Is there a reason you cant use the "forgot password" links on either of these sites? Also, when you first signed up, your passwords should have been sent to the email address you used to register the accounts.

Re: Retreiving a password

If you log on to IE, go to  tools, click on general, and under browsing history there's a button for settings  which might be able to give you what you're looking for. When you click on settings, it will bring you to another page which shows where the files for saved passwords and other temporary files are stored. be careful not to hit delete, which is the real purpose of this tool. I know they have access to the files you re looking for because i just read about them using keyloggers legally to access old information. But hopefully this will give you what you need. oh yeah, most importantly, welcome to the GuG, and hopefully we'll see much more of you on the forums..Smile  juliek

Re: Retreiving a password

Oh, and I never did save the password.  So, is it impossible to retrieve it??
