Privacy settings on Facebook

So, I only recently noticed there had been a few changes to the privacy settings on FB. I can't seem to find where I can modify my limited profile settings? Like what ppl I message, but aren't my friends, can see on my profile. Hope someone can help me out..

Thanks Vinyl for your offer!!But, I solved (at least part of) our problem: Below the message it says: 

If you send XXXX a message, you will give her permission to view your list of friends, as well as your Basic, Work and Education info for one month.
 
Which basically sucks for me as I enjoyed to write messages to ppl whose profiles I liked to see, hoping that they didn't check their privacy settings and I therefore was able to view some of their albums. Boo for Facebook!

So fb have tightened security even more?? Sucks. It's getting so hard to see things now! But hey, at least you found out that, yay!

I remember you had a similiar problem,vinyl...did you find a solution to it??

Yea at privacy-> basic you can only set what users can see parts of your profile,but not like the good ole "limited profile" settings. Argh.

I ended up making a custom friends group, restricting everything on that, and adding people to it. Which doesn't help if you're messaging someone you haven't added, but I *think* that if your profile has friends-only settings then they won't see that stuff? I'm not sure. If you like, you could send me a message and I can tell you what I can see?

I have yet to figure that out - the new fb privacy settings are obnoxiously difficult to figure out. I *think* if you go to privacy/basic then you can set it that way, but I'm not entirely sure.
