Husband of mine is shopping around for a new turntable. Now, this is a lengthy process. He'll research the hell out of it for years and then one day out of the blue, Mr. UPS Driver will ring the doorbell with a package. That is how I usually find out! What brought on this urge? We were in discussion on great album covers and mine is the one below: Elton John's "Captain Fantastic" LP. While we do like CD's and the convenience they offer being in a small nearly flat package, we miss the great album covers and the inserts and such that would come with them.

What is your favorite album cover(s)?  *This is the front. I'll find a pic of the back. It's incredible*

Wanna see album covers?  This site is legendary.  You cannot call yourself a geek until you've seen it.  Be sure to read the site owner's comments about each cover.

I've got boxes full of LP's.  Can't even give 'em away on eBay so I'm keeping them.  Once music started being sold as ones and zeros, I chucked my Technics SP15.  I dropped it right into the dumpster during a move.

My favorite LP was:


I owned it in vinyl, 8-track, cassette, CD, and now the remastered tracks are on my 500GB external.

Same.  owned it on vinyl (I was 14 or 15), 8-track, quad-8, CD

PM it to me and i will add it. or, go to the pic, right click, select copy image location, then come back here. click on a comment box, then on the little tree icon. then paste the url into the first line: image url. then click insert.

I don't have any favs, but it gets me PO'd that I can play any of my old punk/new wave albums.  Those types sound better on Lp's (sounding all scratchy and such).

I have bulletin boards covered in album art (CDs.... sorry, vinyl is before my time, and I'm not a dj so... yeah)

Somehow my cat has managed to pull a lot of them off... for some reason the Wheatus album cover is one of my favorites...... I just like it... I don't really have a reason....... the color... the checkerboard... the lettering.... simple.... another favorite is the Buckcherry album cover with the painting of the naked chick all tatted up (you can't see anything but I'm not gonna post it just in case lol)
