last seen 3 weeks 18 hours agoOkay I have to email someone a paper. I have this gay printer and I used Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard to copy a file to the computer. First problem, it saves the file as images not text. Well I just signed up for a 15day trial with Adobe to turn anything into a pdf file. File is now created but now its toooo large to email. What should I do? I need it out tonite. I downloaded some pdf compressor and its a piece of crap too. It keeps freezing. Is there an option in my Adobe Reader that I am missing or this there a program or different way to go about this? I'm so used to my other printer/copier/fax but my sister borrowed it and never brought it back. I'm stuck with this crappy printer/copier. Sorry! Please help me!

CandiLove, are there any graphics in the paper? if so, reduce the graphics quality down to a screen resolution of about 72dpi.

You should have the option when scanning to scan/save it as a text file... I had this problem a while back... if you don't, it might be the 'wizard' and maybe try in manually?
Another option might be to upload it to some free webhost under a 'special' account, and have them just open it from there (you may have to send them the account username and password which is why I said special account for them to have access to opening the file)
I don't understand why you can't just send it as an image anyway? unless they have to edit it...

They aren't computer savvy at all. The reason I copied and emailed b/c they didnt want to get their a$$ to Fedex or Kinkos to receive a fax. If they see its an image then we meet argue about that. I thought I could save the argument and make it look like the original document. I have so much problems in all areas of my life....in-laws, taxes(fixed), cars(better), school, my own body, ugh! list goes on. I just want to make things easier for someone else. Thanks Smartmom and Anime! Great Ideas! I sent it. I just hope they get off their a$$ and open it. Lol.
I didn't even think about what Anime said - yes you could open a account on fileden (FREE) and put it there. It's kinda like a photobucket but for files. That is where our tracker list on gug is at along with my chat room acronyms file (that I have here on gug) is hosted. Its easy and once you load it on to it then simply send them the URL and they can view it and print it out - easy breezy!
Can you zip it and email it? I know that I have some that are huge and I have been able to zip them and email them that way. I use "Al Zip" if you don't have a zip program you can get a free download of it here:

I could do that. I probably will but the person who is opening is an idiot. I don't particularly(msp?) like this person so I don't want to talk to them. I'm sorry bout that. Some people are just horrible like in-laws. lol
ha that makes it more fun. You did your job and sent it and they can look at it and go hummmmm. Send them the link to download it and then turn off the phone, pour a glass of wine and take a hot bubble bath
If you happen to IM with them via MSN you can also send files that way
