On Vista and Antivirus Software and computer speed.

Hi everyone.

An associate sent this link to me and I so throughly enjoyed it I thought I would post it here.

It's all about the effects of "security" on an operating system.

That is really good accurate info. Being an internet tech stuff like that comes in handy. I am getting really sick of norton! It's more of a virus than anything!

Re: On Vista and Antivirus Software and computer speed.

Best combo is The Advast http://www.avast.com/index.html with Spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html cause not only do their residents take up less memory, but theya are totally free with unlimited free updates though you need to give advast your E-mail every 18 months to get a new activation code.

One of the Major problems with the first 6 on that list is that they will let "Authorized Advertisers" through (as in those that paid them money) and Microsoft is no different in offering "safe advertisers" with their products

Yeah, last computer I had to fix wasn't connecting to it's Wirless Network and turned out it was Norton Antivirus and Internet Security gunking it up....soon as I uninstalled it the thing came super fast and connected with no problems.
