Has anyone seen "W" yet? If so, I'm sorry, and if you haven't, save your money. I'll admit, I'm not a fan of our 43rd President. I'm not looking to start a political debate, just stating that I think he's a moron, and therefore a movie chronicling his failures would be mildly entertaining. At least, that was what I thought. Truth is, I found it to be mean-spirited, innacurate, and just plain unflattering. We rented it from Redbox, and I want my $1 back.
Now on DVD: "W"
I'm with you LadyC. I was so looking forward to this movie when I saw the trailer for it. Just last week I ordered it from Movies on Demand and I absolutely hated it. What a waste.
My wife saw it and kind of liked it. She's indifferent toward him since she hates politics. She felt that the movie make people more empathetic toward him. That being said I have no plans on seeing it. Just doesn't look interesting.
I don't want to die without any scars.
I don't think empathy is the right word. Honestly, it left me disgusted, and embarrassed to have voted for him his first term, they portrayed him as an even bigger idiot than he really is. Remember the comedian on MTV that referred to him as a "retarded cowboy"? That phrase sums up the whole film.
"Everybody's going nowhere slowly, they're only fighting for the chance to be last. There's nothing wrong with going nowhere, baby, but we should be going nowhere fast"
not a fan of this type of flick. won't be on my rental radar in this lifetime. thanks for the heads-up! getting movie feedback or reviews has proven to be quite helpful as of late.

Normally, i AM a fan of these types. I watched the first 20 minutes and turned it off. I dislike bush (though i dont blame him for all of lifes problems lol) but regardless of my opinon, the movie treated him far TOO unfairly.
Now team america- F$#& Ya! That kinda movie is funny- satire, in good humor.
"So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb. "

That's exactly how I felt. Seriously, if he was even close to as inept as he was portrayed, we're a nation of fools for voting for him in the first place. It's odd, to actually feel almost defensive towards him, but the movie was just terrible.
