I'd like to know which "extra" programs you think I should buy for my computer to make my life easier. How about the registry cleaner? Or a disk cleaner? Programs that claim to speed up my computer, etc. There are lots of programs out there, some that are free for awhile and then you have to buy 'tm. Love to hear your thoughts.

Actually if you want to buy quality programs that can help your computer I would suggest 3
MemTurbo4
Disk Keeper
Registry Mechanic6
Keep your memory clean, your HD's defraged and your registry from piling up crap
I use System Mechanic Pro to clean out the ‘gunk’. There are similar programs out there, too. Windows utilities will clean and defrag but not thoroughly as other programs. SysMechanic is also good for removing stubborn programs and all related subfolders. MemTurbo 4 is good for freeing up memory. Both of the aforementioned programs have free trials.
Most of that you can do without buying a program. Have you ever deleted the cookies on your computer and defragged it? If your computer is going slow try that and it should help.
You can also run some FREE programs such as Ad-Aware SE (by Lavasoft) which will help remove any trackers that could be (and will be) on your computer. Another good FREE program is Spybot Search & Destroy which will help look for any spyware that has sneaked its way into your computer (trust me you'll find some
). Anyways if you click on the names they'll take you to the downloads and you can read more about them. I use both (along with a good anti-virus program) - good luck!
