has myspace changed their settings where you can only view a person's myspace status if you are friends with them? because i went to this person's private myspace profile the other day and it said "this profile is set to private. This user must add you as a firend to see/ his/her profile." But the other day i went to her profile and i think myspace was updating their pages bc it looked a little bit different than usual and i could see her status...now its back to normal and i cant see it anymore. Does anyone know if that was just a glitch? or its bc you can set your statuses now to just friends only?

This works atm-
On your computer - go to m.myspace.com and login with your myspace email and password. Find that person's profile and you will be able to see their status and mood

I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about or not, but today I've noticed that when you are NOT logged in to MySpace and you look up a profile, it looks like the ORIGINAL 1.0 profiles looked, without any backgrounds or layouts put in (plain white background, blue boxes, etc.)...and yes, you can see the persons status. Very strange! Even on my profile, which is 2.0 and is public and has a layout, it shows up that way...?
When you ARE logged in and you look up a profile, if it's private, it still says "This user must add you as a friend..." and you can't see status. And when logged in and you look up a public profile, it shows their layouts, etc.
I've been messing around with this, and it seems that it's pretty random...one minute I can see the status with the look that I described, the next minute the look is the same but you can't see status...
