No Searching??!

No Searching??!
Hiii. I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, or it's already been said - there's no Name/Display Name/E-mail/ option under 'Search'. I found this feature quite useful, looking for old friends. Yesterday I went to search my cousins name, only to find the search feature has been removed or disabled. I'm unsure why MySpace disabled the search, probably for security reason... Does anyone have any information as to where I can use this feature again? Thanks

Thanks That feature is still there if you go to "search".  It wasn't there yesterday, but it's back now.  I've noticed that once in a while it disappears.  It's not that they removed it, it's just another one of their glitches that you have to wait out.

When you click on 'view all friends' you can search by name and e-mail etc Think it just changed location. Hope that helps

If we're going to play the "wouldn't it be nice if..." game, I'd REALLY like to see myspace add an option to search by last name, or last name and first initial. Sometimes it's hard to find someone by their first name. Ie: James....could be listen in MS an James, Jim, Jimmy, Jamie, etc.....

They both sound like excellent ideas. If MySpace takes away search I'm gonna be quite bored. It's fun to look up old school mates and stuff. Now you can't do it. Lets hope they bring it back!

they need to also add an "option" when searching....an "online now" option......because last night at like 2:00am when i was bored, i was looking for someone to chat with....problem is its hard to tell who is all online and who is not...if i could of clicked a little box that says "show online now".....it would of narrowed my search a lil

I'm not familiar with that feature. Apparently MySpace used to have a visible profile page views thing like band profiles have, it was underneath age/location etc. I wonder why they got rid of it. Do you know if there's a way the public can find out what they're putting up/taking away before MySpace actually do it? Or any pages people have stumbled on whilst browsing MySpace? I'm sometimes too curious for my own good

It used to be on the bottom left of the homepage. You could enter your hotmail, yahoo!, aol or gmail address & pw, and it would let you know who in your addy book had MySpace acct's.

Lets see if they bring back the ability to cross reference your address book. That came in handy.
