Myspace Picture Uploading
I have two questions really. I am trying to upload pictures to my myspace account and I am getting a "On IO Error uploading file" I have tried Irfanview resizing and such, but it still won't work. I have never had any problems in the past. I have gotten a new camera, but I don't know it that makes any difference. Also, does anyone know how to set a picture you took as your profile background? |

Thank you for the background info. I checked the pictures and they show jpeg. I am using irfanview. I am making them the smallest possible and I still get the same error code.
If size were the issue, it would give you a specific error code for the image size - have you tried scrolling down the upload page where it says "If you don't see the upload form, click here"? Since the first form is new, I often have glitches but the old-style upload form usually works.
Is the picture JPG file? Myspace only accepts JPG file pics. Some photo editing programs include features to change the file of the photo.
As for setting a picture as your background, first you'll need to register at photobucket.com. Upload the picture you want to use as your background, then copy the url.
then go to http://www.strikefile.com/myspace and follow the instructions on how to set your background image.

Myspace also allows .gif images.
There are great tutorials here - under the Myspace Layouts link. There's even a background generator that's pretty self-explanatory.
