Everyone knows of the Myspace character symbol heart codes, diamond codes, etc etc. Now there are new symbol and character codes that a lot of people have to copy and past to get the picture into their Myspace names like flowers, Chinese characters, stars, skulls etc. Today though when I was browsing myspace I came across a girl who had a character in her name but when I copied and pasted it it came up as this: = but with a third line above it.
Can someone explain why this is happening and if there is a way to get that picture into my headline name?

I'm assuming everyone knows about Microsoft's Character Map. I keep a shortcut in my Quick Launch bar.
It's usually at <Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Character Map>.
Ok, I got it to where you can see it. I put it into google but like I said, when I copy and paste it it just comes up as 3 lines and you'll see that. You can see the heart I'm trying to get though when you scroll down at the way bottom where it says

Where would I find the codes to make the symbols I am seeing on many profiles? ... I have found html special characters like hearts, arrows, daggers, etc... But I have seen more detailed ones like musical notes, moons, etc.

Exactly what I was looking for!!! But... "type" slowly cuz I'm not too brite... How do I input them... I just figured out how to do a few things in html and these keep coming up as [number:
&#9760;]Well first view that site in IE - for some reason in Firefox it doesn't show up right in Firefox
all you do is simply add the name or number in where you want the symbol. Now some sites don't like the numbers and only will take the name (yeah pain in the butt I know)
so for: ☣
simply add
&#9763;&#9763;]i've tired that code and it still doesnt work on mypsace. Only the ones with words work...
yeah sorry I forget with myspace you need to use the code with the letters and not the numbers. Some of the symbols on that site only have numbers. Example on that one site if you want a heart:
&hearts;] [number:&#9829;]then go for the "name" for heart its ♥ (see in red) also that site seams to have issues with firefox so use IE

Thanks for the page but the character that I"m trying to get is a heart. It's not the little black heart or the "curly" heart. It's a heart that's an actual heart. Drawn straight. If that explains it good? Lol
yes, i have it. love it. and the "real" peace sign, and star. send me an email through GUG on my contact page and i will send you the heart. it is one that you simply copy and paste, same as the peace sign.
<edit>: i just IM'd you on GUG. you can copy them right from my profile. that is how i acquired them initially.

Sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I got your message, thank you. That isn't the heart though. lol It's a new one, I think. At least I have never seen it before. I think I have a way of posting it so you can see it but myspace is acting up right now and I can't log in but as soon as I can I'll post it.
