Not a new code for anything private, but might keep you amused for a little while.

This code works for almost everyone so it's worth a try

The code :
http://onlinenow.myspace.com/OnlineNow/UserStatusChange.html?UserID=XXXXXX&online=1&visible=1

Explanation :
As you can probably tell from the URL, it makes people appear online.
online = 1/0 : system thinks they're online
visible = 1/0 : Whether the "online now" image appears on things

For those who don't understand, replace XXXXXX with the person friendID,
Don't know how to get a friend id?
1. Go to their profile
2. View source
3. Search for "friendid=", CTRL+F normally brings up the search box.
4. The number after the highlighted bit is the friendid

You can make people appear offline when they're online and as far as I can tell keeps them offline, although i remember it updating online status when you change you profile or settings or post a comment and stuff.

This code should remain active for a while as they'll need to rewrite the onlinenow URL and maybe system, so enjoy it as much as you can.

These are the kinds of codes you need to find, ones that are hard to fix. Why do I say this? I don't want the codes restricted to members, this infomation should be available to the public.

p.s. You can't mess with Tom =)

new working code to replace this one

This code does not work anymore but a new code that does the same thing has been posted in the private/trusted members-only forum section.

This thread is now closed to new posts.

HAHAHAHAHA
This was more fun than viewing private comments. Its hilarious! Especially since I have friends that hide their online now status. Great for spicing up MySpace which has otherwise become quite dull recently.
I have a Question MetaSyntactic or anyone last log in Date
I just came accross this, and it wouldn't work for me, but I was wondering with your knowledge you could tweak this a little bit and maybe change someone's last log in date? http://updatelaston.myspace.com/OnlineNow/UserStatusChange.html?UserID=xxxxx&online=1&visible=1
Where did you come across

Where did you come across this code?

As far as I know they don't use a URL for the lastlogondate anymore, the code they used to use was updatelaston.myspace.com/UpdateLastOn/Update.aspx?iid=XXXXXX

But that is never called to anymore and doesn't affect any accounts as far as I decided to probe a while back.

I may try and look into it, but I have schoolwork to do so I don't really have time to look into ASP, but check it out if you want.

Yours faithfully,

Metasyntactic

I got this code
From imagereview.myspace.com I was just curious that i got a hit on my site from that and I went to it... it just blurted out everything.
Imagereview
The way you tracked that hit did you get an IP from it from San Juan Puerto Rico?
Image Review
No I just remembered the sub domain from my stats and started messing with it.... it's definitely an admin login page
I just went back to it...
And all the extra information is gone, but the log in prompt is still there....
Kahdaver

Could you send me the ID that was tracked with the link?

and anyone who's wishing to contact me on it or something. I just set it up, don't waste your time.

I can't find any references to imagereview.myspace.com apart from on website statistic things, it seems to be an admin panel or something.

And when you say everything could you explain a little more, do you mean for the updatelaston thing? i only got service unavailable, or do you mean for imagereview... you could elaberate in the email if you so wish.

Yours fiathfully,

Metasyntactic

I emailed you
its fron an *.edu with Imagereview.myspace.com in the subject
Would be fun
This would be a fun one to use with online now LOL, I have been having a great time with that one.
I know,
It's become so wide spread now people are using it on me...
15Minutes
When I use the code now it only works for 15 minutes at a time you have to go back and do it again if you want them to stay online
I guess thats a good thing
Its just cracking me up to see that I'm online and that someone care enough to try to screw with me.
Thanks thats funny
Im not going to try it but its a great prank
Thanks
I am having a lot of fun with this.
The code does lead to a blank page.
The code does lead to a blank page because it's always called to remotley and is not responsible for showing the online now thingy, just changes to the database I guess. Once you are on the page it's done, just go back to the profile you changed. If you are using a browser which caches (Stores pages in memory so it does not have to redownload them), you may have to refresh if you went back to the profile through the back button. I hope this has cleared up a few issues.
Too funny
There's this super paranoid, child-predator skank I know. She thinks people are after her and hacking onto her account. (Why shouldn't she since she's screwing around with juveniles...literally) I just tested this code out and it DOES work. Man, I hope this drives her nuts. hahahahahahaa... Oh and I reported her to the authorities so hopefully she'll stop hooking up with kids.
Way coool
Nice man..thats actually a really cool trick.....thats so weird that it actually changes the status so that everyone else can see it....wow... Metasyntactic...do you know of an IRC channel that myspace codes were/are on...because you spoke of them being earlier..
Sorry, but I can't tell you.
Well there is an IRC, i've mentioned it elsewhere so I don't want to say no and people start making stupid rumours, then they'll all start hunting for it. The codes at the MKGB are a lot more extensive and damaging than the codes you've been using, you need a high amount of computer knowledge to even use them. This is why we are a highly exclusive group consisting of 10 members, we have only ever recruited 5 during our year of excistance. You'll probably try and look for it on a search engine, but you will not find anything. Just trying to save you time, but as you can see I can not tell you about the IRC channel. Yours faithfully, Metasyntactic
Sorry for sounding ignorant.
Sorry for sounding ignorant. I am just learning so bare with me. After i put the URL you provided in my browser do i ONLY change the friend ID? Everything else remains the same? I tried it and only got a blank page. Thanks.
confused
what is that code supposed to do i went and it was blank. its suposed to make the person appear online? and why wud this be more fun than looking at comments and how is this a trick?
Re: Confused
It makes someone who is offline look online or vice versa, after you see the blank page go back to fav or whatever and all of the sudden they are online. I think it is more fun than looking at comments because they only last for a couple of days tops, and in my case anyway the comments weren't all that enlightening. This on the other hand is a neat trick, you put somone as appearing online when they are supposed to be somewhere else, or change them to offline so no one will try to IM them on MySpace. Think of the confusion you can cause to people who are already uber parinoid. Now if I could just figure out how to change the last login date I could sow discord LOL.
Online Now code: This is hilarious...
This is hilarious... But correct me if I'm wrong, it does not change the last log in date. Right?
Cool
That is actually a cool little trick, more fun that looking at comments in truth LOL
Thank you metasyntactic
Thanks for your help metasyntactic .. You know what i mean..
No problem, although I am
No problem, although I am sorry for messing up your user list. I didn't realise what I'd done untill a few seconds ago when I realised user List wasn't just a link to my profile =)
