Hello, Hopefully you can help me,yesterday i changed my email address for my myspace.
and now i can't log in, I've already deleted the browsers cookies etc, i know that my
myspace has not been hacked. and I've already attempted to log in with the old email address and nothing! and i cannot do the salute for i don't have a camera at the moment
and i have no time right not to go our and buy one ,plus i just moved into my new place.
i also tried contacting my space customer service, WHAT A JOKE!!! all i keep getting is automatic emails, which don't help me at all!!!! so there has to be a major glitch with myspace!! i know that the server isn't down, because my friend signed in today.
But every time i try to log in with my information, it says
"Too many failed log in attempts for this email. Please enter verification code"
so i proceed to do so, and it keeps replying with the same message, over and over again! and then it lovk me out for 15 min
i don't understand this.i also looked up my profiles e-mail and it displayed the new email address, but every time i attempt to log in it doesn't let me!!
please help me!!! that's the only other way i keep in contact with my family from NY.

I am going thru this and have been goign through this for a while, now.. I have tried all of the steps recommended, ot no avail.. I ended up creating new profiles.. I do think it has something to do with having old email addys, or something.. cause I had the profile for a minute and decided to change the account email.. to this day no verification has been sent to my old hotmail account.. I wonder if this problem only happens with hotmail account users? Oh well, adapt and overcome...lol.. be well!!!

O.k. So when you changed your email address did you get the confirmation code through the new email address? Before you logged out did you have everything completely switched to the new email address? Also do you save your email address and passwords?

yes i got the conformation email, and i followed the directions , then i loged out, and now i cant log back in

but im gonna wait it out for another couple of days and see what happens

photolablove, running along the same lines as the above post I'm replying to..It could be something "smaller" that you need to doublecheck before coming to the conclusion that it is a myspace error--but them making an error wouldn't be surprising..lol

Anyways, it's easy to overlook a smaller piece of the puzzle in the midst of being frustrated with trying to figure out why the heck you aren't having any luck with this. Try everything that has been mentioned. A few brainstorms I have include : that maybe the first email address was never confirmed with myspace and/or the 2nd email address not confirmed as well, maybe you had unknowingly had the capslock on during password selection, maybe old/new email address has expired and needs to be reactivated if you use hotmail, maybe you got name and password info from both emails switched around somehow, maybe someone has "hacked" or phised (hopefully not but you just never know).

its not the password, its just the email address, and ive already tried all of these suggestions.

maybe myspace has a serious vendetta against me, and only me, lol

It's no problem. Hey, im going to change my email address for one of my myspace accounts and see if I end up having the same issue that you are having. It may take me a little bit to do this as I search where I placed my login info...

EDIT: Actually, I don't think it couldn't have been phised because if so then you would have access to the profile but you would just need to change your password to end the phising. But maybe I'm wrong since I haven't familiarized myself with all the ends and outs of phising.

So then you should be logging in with your new email address. and like ashton said it could take a few days to register through the system. Also you can go through all your email and passwords and see if you left something out.

I've gone through this as well and exactly as you've described.

I had to wait at least a few days for the change to migrate through their system.

Are you getting the Myspace messages for both the old account and the new account?

Such as "your account had been changed" (old email) and "welcome to Myspace" (new email)

Try creating an account again with the old email... on the setup, enter in your old URL that you created...if it says it's taken, then somehow you may have mistyped something in the creation of the new email.

when i enter my new email address for my old myspace,
i cant log in.
So i made a temporary myspace with the new email addy
and for some strange reason its not taken.

Does it say that the email address is already in use? So try this go to forget password and type in your old email address. See if they send the password to there. Do the same thing for the new one see if they send the password to either one.

I have done this were I missed the zero in my email. I just created a email address that didn't have a zero in it and I was able to log in.
