I actually learned a thing or two on Skem9. Here's the link that goes straight to the div overlay tutorial. It's only the basics, but it's very good in explaining the basics of the overlays. The site also has div overlays that are submitted by the users and you can actually use those as your own layout too.
What you do in this life, will echo for eternity.

There are various tutorials out there for making div overlays. Here is one of them:

I tried to see the profile you referenced, but it is set to private.
I'd love to make a div overlay, but I'm not too confident in my web design skills yet...lol. There are premade div layouts available, but I really can't find any that I like, so I can relate to wanting to make your own.
