Myspace blog subscribers - can I get rid of them?
Someone is subscribed to my blog and I don't want them to be. Is there any way to get them off the subscriber list? Right now I'm keeping all of my blog entries "preferred list only" and this person is NOT on my preferred list. But I'd still like to UN-subscribe them from my blog because each time I post something new they get notified and visit my page. |

If the person is on my subscriber list, but not a friend and I make a friends-only blog, would that person still be able to view my blog, or would they just be notified that a blog has been created? If the former is the case, then I would like to know how to block the person too.
they would get a notification, but not be able to view it.
the standard rules would still apply.
so if you don't want them to see any in the future, you can do it that way...friends only or preferred list.
if you want to block them, go to their profile, and in their contact box click the "block" link.
Most of my myspace blogs are friends-only.
I noticed some creep who wasn't on my friends list, from across the country, who had 15 "friends" listed as one of my readers. It was odd - my only public blogs are myspace rants, suggestions, tips, etc. We have no "friends" in common - just weird.
So I wrote a public blog "welcoming... all my new blog subscribers...." but saying that since most of my entries are set viewable to friends only (and that I don't play the numbers game, I won't add anyone new I don't know), that a stranger subscribing to my blog is a little pointless. And creepy.
It got a blog comment out of him - and he unsubscribed.
So calling out someone in a public blog works. Especially if you link to their profile in it and tell them it's weird to subscribe to a blog you can't read.
Have you tried asking them to unsubscribe?
I simply delete them as a friend and they will not get any new notices about your blog

I believe that If you block them they will be unsubscribed.

does anyone know if this works? i don't have anyone i want to take off my blog subscriptions just yet...but i want to know if anyone has tried blocking subscribers, just in case i ever do
yes this does work i just did it after i discovered someone on my blog today and i blocked them and now they are gone.
