OK so this took me a while with playing around with music players to put them on Gaia and I got it worked out. So here it is:
to get the multi media player go to:
http://www.projectplaylist.com/
Then set up your playlist to what you would like. Once you have done that you need to get the code. Now I found that using the myspace code works BUT you only use a part of it. Example here is my myspace code (only use the part that I have in BOLD BLUE- you have to find this in your code):

OK I played around with my music player and found that if you do some simple changes you can take out the white on the sides. So here is what you need to change:
Look on your code for the mywidth=435&myheight=270
and change the numbers to:mywidth=480&myheight=360
that will make the box bigger and take up the whole space on the media player
I need to stress that to get this to work have to put it in the MULTIMEDIA section. It will not work in any other area!
Also depending on what background layout you use will also determine the size of the media player. Some layouts will not let you change the width and height at all.
edit: OK I'm getting lots of questions from other Gaia people who read this that they can't find their media section. So if your having that problem please read trouble shooting below
To get the multi media click on the edit profile above and then on the right hand side of your profile (like half way down you should see the a box to view) click on the "contents" button then on you'll get a new box pop up and click the "+add" button for Media. That will give you the multimedia section. Now with your layout your music player will be smaller. It show up bigger on "classic" style layouts. Here is also a website that has layouts for Gaia - the classic ones (that show the player Tektek.org but if you use one of their layouts you will not be able to add your car or house to your profile (some show them on their profiles). The layout I currently use is a classic from that site.

OK so since I get hit up every day with kids and questions (like at least 10 a day) and since now project playlist now points to this forum for all BB Coding help and help with Gaia I figured I needed to do a trouble shooting section to this. Here are some of the most frequent questions I get:

Q: How come my music player is so small I changed the numbers but it now looks funny (it's not any bigger).
A: Some profiles will not let you make your player larger - requardless if you have changed the numbers. If you want it larger you may need to change your layout (background). The backgrounds I have found that work the best to get a larger player are ones from http://www.tektek.org/profiles/oldschool
Q: What if I like my layout but I want it bigger (and it won't)
A: Then keep your layout - enjoy the player (even though it's smaller) it will still play the same regardless!
Q: I'm asked this a lot: "I like your music ~ can I just use your code?"
A: No, this is my profile and my player you need to create your own!
Q: I want to update my music do I need to change my code?
A: No it will auto change as you update your profile on projectplaylist
Q: Do I have to set up a account with projectplaylist?
A: No you don't have to do anything but if you want the music on your profile then yes you do.
Q: Something is wrong with my player - it was working but now I'm getting a message on it saying it's down.
A: Well like all web sites they at times go down - Don't panic!!! Give it a chance and it will come back (If you want to click on my profile you'll see mine will probably be down too). If it's down for more than a day then go back on http://www.projectplaylist.com/ you may have to redue your code (but this doesn't happen very often).
Q: But I don't have a MULTI MEDIA section on my profile
A: Some layouts call it only a MEDIA section - it's the same thing.
Q: I got it to work but now my YOU TUBE video is gone - why?
A: Gaia will only allow one thing in your MULTI MEDIA section - so basically you have to choose (sorry it's a Gaia thing)
Q: Can I put it in my "signature" or my "about me" section?
A: Nope it will ONLY work in the MULTI MEDIA section
Q: Your "smart" do you also know how to get gold? (yes I'm asked this all the time)
A: NO NO NO NO!!!!! I don't so don't ask! But if you find the info above good and helpful feel free to donate gold to me (I have to earn it the same way you do) but you DON'T have to give me gold - I did this forum to help you out!
Q: OK this last question threw me for a loop and really made me mad! It was from a dad who was wondering who I was, why a adult is on Gaia (yes I'm a adult - I'm 39) and is this my way to meet other kids!
A: This infuriated me!!!!! Yes I am a adult! Why am I on Gaia? Because my kids are on Gaia (I'm a mom). Like any parent I want to know what my kids are doing. I am not here to make "Friends" with your child as I have my own adult friends on Gaia - I don't need to be friends with your child. I did this forum because I wanted my music player on my profile. I saw over at projectplaylist that many ppl (adults and kids) were trying to get their player on their profile but couldn't. Heck I was even approached by two moderators on projectplaylist (Luke and Tom) on how I got it to work since they were unable to. They now point ppl who have problems or need help here to this forum. So NO I am not some wacko just a mom watching HER OWN kids! Oh and don't ask me who my children are here ~ yes they know mom is here to watch them but they are my children and my business ~ I am here to protect them not to point fingers to them.
