I dont know, this might be stupid
Ok so I have a bunch of pictures on my computer that I need to email to someone. Is there anyway I can send them all at once instead of one picture at a time I have them all saves in one file but from what I can tell I have to send them one picture at a time. Any help?
How do I send multiple pictures in email ?

JUST left clicking would not make anything disappear. You have probably either deleted it or moved it. Check in your recycle bin. if it's not there, do a full search and it should turn up.
by reading through the comments you can see that the only real answer is: it depends
It depends on the operating system you are using, and the mail-client.
20 pictures in one email? Be aware of the total size of this email and get it as small as possible or you might have some frustrated clients. Images right off the camera often have a large file size. Before emailing images, you need to determine if your recipients really need the images at full resolution or would a smaller sized image (dimension and file-size) will suffice.
Sending multiple images in a single email is tricky and there are a few ways
to do it. One way is to compress them down to about 100KB
each, put them into a descriptively named folder, then zip (compress) the folder. This
will create a zipped file that will weigh in between 2 and 3MB which is an
acceptable attachment file-size these days. Next, attach the zip file to
an email. In my opinion, this is the most professional way to send
multiple images.
All you need is your camera and a PC. Skills needed will be knowing how to
copy/paste files, renaming files/folders, resizing/compressing/resaving images
using an image editor, creating folders, Windows navigation, zipping
files/folders, and creating emails with attachments.
My favorite basic image editor/viewer is Irfanview. It's easy to understand and it's free. Until you get this image thing down, always work with copies of images and not originals. Open the image up with Irfanview, hit File>Save As. Choose jpg as the file type and move the compression slider to about 70%. Give the picture a descriptive name and click Save. Hopefully you have Windows navigation down because you will need to determine where to save the "new" compressed image, then go to the saved image and check its properties to see if you got it down to 100-150KB in file-size.
Create a new folder, name it, put the "new" compressed images into the folder, right-click on the folder, select "Send To", from the pop-out select "Compressed (zipped) Folder". This newly created file will be automatically placed in teh same directory as the original folder -it looks like a folder with zipper on it. Think of it as a container. This is what you attach to the email. Before you attach and send it, right-click on it and check the Properties for the file size. Again, 2-3 MB is an acceptable size these days for an attachment.
There's more to basic image editing than that. If you want to make the images dimensionally smaller than the super-duper-extra-large-mega-pixel size that the originals probably are (if they came from a camera), use Ifranview to change the dimensions. Open each image with Irfanview. At the top, click Image>Resize/Resample, and choose something usable like 1024x768 or 800x600. Decreasing the image dimensions will make it easy to get our 100KB goal, so if you are going to to both, decrease the dimensions first then compress to 70-75%.
Remember to use jpg as the "Save As" file type since jpg is a universal image file type.
That was the Reader's Digest version of Imaging and Emailing 101. Good luck!
Create a folder on your desktop with all the pictures you want. Highlight the pictures you want to email and the folder box will automatically present "email the selected items". Click on that. Then click "Make all my pictures smaller". It will then bring up your email which you can address and send.
Right click on your desktop
On the menu that pops up select NEW then Folder
There are other ways, this is one of the quickest.
How you can do this depends on the brand and version of OS you are using and the particular email
Client and provider you are using.
In general you can drag n drop multiple pictures into an email, but, depending on OS and mail version you are using, maybe not... If you post the details of what you are using we may be able to help better..
What version of Windows are you using (or, are you using a Mac?), and what email provider (gmail, yahoo, Hotmail, etc) and program are you using for email (Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird, 'webmail', etc) ?
Well, I have and Aol email..
Well there's your trouble right there! Sorry, no clue.. Hopefully an AOL expert can help.
every picture i've ever sent from my Mac, iPad or iPhone was viewable without issue on Windows, and visa-versa..
I'm sorry - but i dont understand the question.

Thanks so much for the tip---(pretty obvious) but I hadn't figured it out (was OK with the single ones and did multiples in a clumsy compromise). Cheers very much
I followed your advise and it worked. Thanks!

If you have a bunch of pictures in a folder and want to email them, look at the sizes (KB) before you hit send. When dealing with images for the web and email remember these 2 words: RESIZE and OPTIMIZE.
That is, unless you are really wanting to send someone a bunch of pictures sized 2592 x 1944 pixels weighing in at 2.5 MB each. Several images that big can bring things to a halt.
A couple of years ago, a girl in the front office brought in her digital camera and uploaded about 20 images into her PC and mass emailed them to almost everyone in the office. Not only did she lock up all our local computers (Lotus Notes) but she also locked up a main server in the home office in Memphis. Imagine - she locked up a main email server of a Fortune 100 company on a Monday morning with her full-size wedding pictures!
I always resize and compress (in that order) images before I email them. Here's a handy and free utility to do both at once: http://www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize It's simple drag and drop operation. Read the instructions on the web page. You can check the finished size (KB) of your pictures by right-clicking and choosing properties.
Always work with copies on images - save your originals. Once you get your pictures resized and optimized, you can put them into a seperate folder. Right-click on that folder and choose a "Compress and Email " option. WinZip or WinRar are two popular compressing/zipping utilities and they will have similar choices in their right-click menus.
I did the "new folder bit" and it worked.
1. right click on clear area of desk top
2.left click "new"
3left click on "folder"
4.right click on picture
5,left click on "copy"
6. go back to little picture of the folder on desk top
7.right click o "paste"
8 type e-mail
9click on attachments, get brouse
10.go back to folder on desk top
11click on "folder"
12 click on "open"
13 is now in attachments.
14 Voila!!
15. oh yeah, clck on "ok"
16 click "send"
only problem is, now how do you get the
new folder" off the desk top?

If your email was sent successfully along with the attachment, you can either keep or delete the folder. First check with your recipient to be sure the attachment was received.
If you no longer need the folder, you can delete it. To delete a folder or file, right-click on the icon and choose Delete. And be sure to stay away from the fat.
