More profile confusion

Argh! I took a bunch of square icons, and put them into my profile. I wanted them to look nice and neat, like a grid. Well...

 

When I view my profile with Firefox, they almost look like a grid, rows of 3, except for one icon that wanted to be in a row of 4. Not sure why it did it, but it's kind of funny since it's the one that says "be random". I think I'll leave it there.

 

When I switch over to IE, that nice neat grid turns into 1 REALLY long column. I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what...

Are u using a editor or doing the html by hand? There are some programs out there like Macromedia Dreamweaver that let you preview an adjust ur html for diffrent web browsers and screen resolutions. They make working with the rows of icons like ur using so much easier as well.

To be honest, I'm a complete hack when it comes to HTML. I don't really know what I'm doing, and the little bit I have figured out, I did so by pasting codes into Word and picking them apart. I was proud as could be when I picked apart the codes to make my layout nice and neat without all those advertisements for the generators.

Regarding programs, I wouldn't know what do do with one if I did download one. All I did was paste the codes from Photobucket into the "general" section on my profile... They did the grid thing all on their own.

At the moment I'm not sure what changes you need to make, but I just wanted to mention that one time I spent hours making a cool profile to line up all perfect and it looked perfect on my pc with both IE and Firefox...but then I viewed my profile on someone else's computer and it was all wacked because their screen/monitor was a different size than mine. But anyways, just a random tidbit of info I wanted to share.
