I have a quick question. I have a Mixmap tracker on both of my Myspace pages. I keep getting hits from an unknown person. There is no information on them except the city and state where they're at and the IP address. The field that shows the destination page is actually blank. Does anyone know why this is?
I suspect this is the same person because they visit at the same time (in the middle of the night). There is more than one hit, but when I try to do an IP search on them I don't get much information. When I do an IP search on one of them it comes back with "MICROSOFT-CORP---MSN-AS-BLOCK" which I assume is a blocker.
Does anyone know why the destination page comes up blank?
Also, how do you know if someone is using a proxy IP address? (I guess that's 2 quick questions, huh?"

alright i got an important questions,i noticed everyone talkin about peoples servers will throw you off from where the "actual" person themselves lives,so it brings me to my question......i have trakzor 2.0........i keep getting hits from someone,or thier server,way out in kansas.....but the location is still reading "tbd",i notice though if i move the browser over kansas it cant give me,were in kansas its at like it does with other people,and theres been about 4 or 5 different labels that the kansas hits have been called,for instance,blue 453,white 266,blue 192......i dont know whats going on,any help would be greatly appreciated,thanx
Try running the IP thru MaxMind (it's free) and may give you some more info.
Also it depends if the IP is a static IP (where the IP address is the same every time) or Dynamic IP (it changes with every log in) address. Example most AOL users will show up as in Herndon Virginia, AOL uses dynamic IP addresses. Another example is Comcast. I have comcast and if you tracked me I show up as in L.A., Calf. well haha I'm in South Florida (Comcast headquarters is in LA). So don't always trust where you first see the IP address states it's from sometimes you need to investigate some more.

I hate that there is no way to track aol users. I get alot of anonymous hits due to that
I have the same situation with the blank pages. I also have many hits from places where I know no one and I don't have enough "friends" on a private page for that to make sense. What does anyone know about this? Hopefully someone will come upon these questions.... it's just weird....

I get it all the time, seems normal to me..sucks though
what other identifying info besides location and IP addy does mixmap give you? I thought that was the most an html tracker could detect.
