Medical Dramas/comedies. house/scrubs/casualty/ER etc..

I never used to get why people watched these, they are so depressing! But lately I started to watch house and loved it. I think its because its not done in such a dramatic way maybe :S I have loved scrubs for ages because its awsome! But maybe thats because its funny and less about the actual hospital than the characters. I've started to watch ER and am going to go through from the start I think.

They seem to be popular so I suppose theres a lot of fans about? Which do you think are the best ones? Fan of comedy or the hard hitting drama type stuff?  Theres probably loads I haven't watched so suggestions at what I can watch next are welcome!

I also love stuff like CSI and detective stuff thats more than just who did it but looking behind how and stuff. I thought I'd hate this show but I ended up loving it :) 

They all seem to follow trends. Hospital dramas became popular (ER) so instantly there's a bunch of ER clones. At least Scrubs is funny... But I can't get into any of them.

Then the CSIs. Another instant hit = lots of clones. I used to really like CSI, but haven't watched in a couple years. I still like NCIS, probably cause I like the characters the most in that one.

I think as the market floods with all the clone shows and spin-offs and whatever, people and TV producers get burned out so they all look for the next big thing to copy. Its the nature of TV... and really most media, when you think about about it.

On a semi-related note (TV copying itself...) I think just about all so called "reality TV " shows should be banned forever...
