Lie To Me is a new series on Fox. Wednesday's at 9ET/8CT. Excellent show with an interesting twist. Based on a true story/life experience.

The background - - the compelling new drama from the producers of 24, stars Tim Roth ("The Incredible Hulk," "Reservoir Dogs") as DR. CAL LIGHTMAN, the world's leading deception expert who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to discover not only if someone is lying, but why. When someone shrugs one shoulder, rotates a hand or raises the lower lip, Lightman knows he's lying.

Based on the real-life scientific discoveries of Paul Ekman, the series follows Lightman and his team of deception experts as they assist law enforcement and government agencies to expose the truth behind the lies.

3 episodes have already aired but you can watch them on Hulu to catch up. If you are a watcher, I'd love to meet you here each week and share episode reviews. Click here to watch on Fox now.

Any GuG watchers yet?

Re: Lie To Me.

I was interested in seeing this, but it's up against "Lost", and I don't have TiVo.  Maybe I'll have better luck on Hulu today than I did last week....

Re: Lie To Me.

I love this show. I would really like to be able to tell when someone is lying. I tend to be too trusting and gullible. Do you find yourself trying to read peoples expressions to see what they are really feeling now? On this last episode I was able to figure out both the judge and the astronauts feelings. I knew the judge had botox. I could tell from the previous footage that the astrounat was on some kind of mood altering drug, I guessed antidepressants. What was that wife thinking?

**I love this show. I would really like to be able to tell when someone is lying**

Well, they do emphasize he learned the skill...don't they (Not sure, only catch the first 5 minutes as part of my Idol taping "saftey net")

Cringing, stuttering, wide eyes, changing posture away from the confronter, voice getting higher, constent repeatingly their side of the story as their only defence(often with the high voice stuttering, posturing away) is all signs of lying or having no faith in what you are saying...for 98% of people

Their are "profesional Liars" that don't give off the obvious signs, and that is whenj you have to listen look for the more suttle ones like lip twitching,a unusul pause in the voice, or misinformation on something you know isn't the right information.

Luckily most of the "profesional liars" are politicians and we are used to them being that way...lol

Re: Lie To Me.

I also watch this show and love it. Its amazing what you can find out just by a persons body language.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
