I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with King Crab legs. (I splurged--it's been a good 10-15 years since the last time we had them).
I bought 2 pounds worth from the deli case. They are already cooked. They asked me if I knew how to prepare them.
Well, I don't. I just know I've had them before, dipped in butter and they were wonderful.
Here's the important part. I think....(not sure as granddaughter was with me at the time) he said to wrap them in foil and put them in the oven to warm them up. What I'm not sure is for how long.
And I would think that I would want to put them in a baking dish with some water in the bottom of the dish for steaming or moisture. Problem is....they are huge.
So, I don't know what to do. I am going to make a garlic-sweet onion-butter blend for dipping.
My next thought is to check out the internet for some ideas.
Any help or suggestions for preparing these would be wonderful.

Yeah, I love King Crab legs. I haven't had them in a while.
because they are all ready cooked when purchased from the grocer, when we have done king crab legs we just boil them until hot in salty water. we serve with sweet butter to dip in.
if you want to bake them, set the oven at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes, wrapped in foil. you are just basically heating them.
or, steam them if you have a steamer. no more than ten minutes. butter, garlic, & a squeeze of fresh lemon for the juice.
Tuna...the other white meat!
Wonderful, thank you. Getting ready to go do that now. I will probably have to do the foil method, because I really don't have anything large enough to boil them in, except for my canner and I don't want to do that.
Yes, a late supper again for us.
If I was standing on a fish, I'd slip and fall......
Getting ready to go do that now.
well.....i'm salivating here. how were they? and did you serve a slightly chilled Sauv-Blanc or Chard with them?
Tuna ><((((*> the other white meat!
They were actually pretty good according to hubby. I just couldn't eat it. I love king crab legs, but they don't like me. Same with shrimp. Just can't eat seafood or fish.
Thank you for your help!
