Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

I keep seeing messages everywhere, on websites, in programs, in forums etc etc saying switch to Mozilla because it's safer than IE Explorer, so I switched over but what I want to know is.....can it protect you from a remote keylogger....like one attached to a link or email..let's say if I clicked on a email from someone I knew (I think I may have done this). Are there any Remote key loggers that could possibly get thru the safety net, and if I install Comcast's free antivirus software could that help with it.....

Re: Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

Do you have any suggestions as to what is good malware and firewall protection... and does Comcast or Mozilla offer any of this

Re: Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

Comcast offers McAfee anti-virus and firewall to all of its customers.

They also offer free online virus scans, and lots of other various goodies. Check it out! Smiling

Re: Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

Most anti virus programs come with a firewall but a good FREE one is comodo firewall

Mozilla (firefox) does not come with a firewall and I'm not sure about Comcast - I don't think so.

Re: Question about Mozilla and Key loggers????

"....a firewall can provide protection against such things. as long as you have protection on your computer, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, and a firewall, and keeping your computer updated, you have protection. spy software that grabs keystrokes, screenshots, and even remote control requires that software to be installed on the computer or a vulnerability which is exploited to break in. there is additional software you can put on your PC, such as an IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention System), but for the most part as long as you have a good firewall and anti-malware software - coupled with updates and safe surfing habits - you are pretty safe!"

an excellent article and find at: http://www.techsupportforum.com/
