last seen 2 weeks 6 days agoI can not connect to the Itunes store via Itunes. It gives me a timeout message. I also can not connect to the internet via Internet Explorer, however i am able to connect with Firefox. Itunes is enabled in windows firewall and I have tried rebooting, shutting down, disconnecting my modem and what not.
I have the newest copy of Itunes and am running it on Windows Vista. I have been through a number of message boards and have run Itunes diagnostics which says that my internet connection is fine but I am unable to connect to the store. Any ideas on what the problem might be? This is driving me crazy. If I posted this in the wrong area i apologize.

Can someone find an official statement by Apple or Microsoft about this one?
Or is MS seriously doing this to lose even more people to the Mac and iTunes?
If this is the case, my next machine will beyond a doubt be a Mac.

I can not connect to the Itunes store via Itunes....I have the newest copy of Itunes and am running it on Windows Vista.
I am currently looking for a new laptop and was on the Dell website yesterday. I was reading about Windows Vista and, if I'm not mistaken, it said that version of Windows does not support Itunes. I was suprised since Itunes is such a popular program!
do you think this might have to do with how you have your cookies or security? sometimes you might accidently disallow certain pages and not know it...
